Hey,
I'm getting a lot of lag, but my brother on the computer next to me isn't, so i'm guessing its a problem at my end.
What happens is the game runs perfectly smoothly, the all of a sudden frezzes, and then jumps ahead (so bascially a couple of rounds pass where my character is on autorun). This doesn't happen on single player.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to help me out.
I'm using client port 5121 and game port 5120
he's using client port 5122 and game port 5123
we're both going through the same wirelss router, and it doesn't make a difference to the lag if i turn off my firewall and antivirus.
Any ideas?

Re: Help with lag
Are you running Vista, perchance? There are several threads about tweaking settings to run the latest update (1.69) on Vista, on these boards and the nwn.bioware.com site.

You to make sure you have no spy ware running or tracking cookies that eat up band width. Need to make sure your cleaning out your cache daily, defrag once a week... etc.. Maintenance is key to good performance..
I use CCleaner, Diskeeper 2008 and Uniblue set of spyware/junk/registry cleaners.

Re: Help with lag
Could be a proccessor issue. Check your CPU affinity if you are running a dual core system. I know AMD sometimes doesnt like NWN.

Re: Help with lag
Sounds like it could be networky. Vid or cpu crankiness would show up in single player too (log into something as dm and put ##dm_visualeffect 464 on a hotkey and spam it a few times, see if that lags).
Sound issues can do weird things, but look for network flakiness first.
