Favored Enemies

Post by Heeza »

With FE: Humans, does this also include the subraces such as Genasi, Gith's etc? Or would you need to take FE: Outsiders.

Also, same question in regards to subraces with Gnomes, Elves, Dwarves......

Thanks!

Only considered race, not subrace... so all Genasi are human for example.

In the list of enemies, I also see Shapechanger and Dragon.

So if i'm fighting a Druid Halfling who is in Dragon Shape, do I need Halfling, Dragon or Shapechanger to gain Favored enemy bonuses?

Just curious,

Interesting. So it would seem that Shifter class would be considered the Bane of a Ranger's "Bane of Enemies".

So not Favored Enemy: Shapechanger? Not: Halfling? Only Dragon will work against a shifter in Dragon form? Good info.

luckily alot of these things are reduced to general monster forms. . . Outsider, Construct, Magical Beast. Dragon is one of the few that has its own.

Still curious on FE:Outsider. I thought that Genasi and Gith were tagged as Outsiders to be able to be effected by Turn Outsider and Banishment etc.

Favored Enemy is hard-coded and so doesn't know about or respect NS4-specific changes. So all players are either halfling, human, gnome, elf, half-elf, half-orc, or dwarf. As far as Favored Enemy is concerned, those are the only races possible for players (unless they're polymorphed).

Because of the scripting limitations, Harper Scout's (Tymora's Smile I think... I forget) special bonus also works on all base races, not merely specific subraces.
