recently we've had a lot of new ppl to the server / Shadow Legion, and one common question pops up... where do you get the jobs? the folks who ask are almost always in the right spot, but without any detect they dont see andrinor and think they're in the wrong location, or that somethings broken.
as a goodwill gesture towards the new players, i suggest having andrinor not hide anymore (for what it's worth ive fielded this question 3 times this weekend alone).
sl job npc
Re: sl job npc
I'm opposed! I like that he hides. I like newbs shouting out. Menzo is my new hometown and i wants to see who's coming in. It adds a certain feeling to all of Menzo that there may be someone lurking around always! Jobs arent necessary but add flavor to the game. The best part of jobs are learning how to do them not handed a set of instructions of hows and where's. Finding Andrinor is just that.

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

Re: sl job npc
Hey... at least you HAVE jobs!
Re: sl job npc
Ii agree with Alka, I like the fact that he hides. All it takes is a little time back in there to figure it out, woe to the legioneer that cant spot or listen anyway ';P

If anything I think AO gets the short end of the stick. Not only are the jobs there incomplete but the job guy casts invisibility shortly after the map spawns.

Re: sl job npc
its neat in it's own way, yet also extremely newbie unfriendly at the worst possible time (right when you are starting the game). while there's already a lot about jobs that require meta knowledge, there's no real need to make this particular aspect "old hands only." it's not even interesting (uh, wait around doing nothing until he unhides).Korr wrote:Ii agree with Alka, I like the fact that he hides. anyway it's just a minor thing, just thought i'd mention it as we seem to be getting a wave of new players.
Re: sl job npc
And then what do you think that person thinks right after he finds out that Aldrinor hides? either "Hey a little flavor nice, I like that" or "I just wanna get to level 40 to pwn people, I dont have time to spot NPCs". I prefer player #1

Re: sl job npc
Only took me a few minutes to find him as a new SL player, and I'm as dense as they come. I thought it was kind of neat.
