containers.
containers.
I haven't found a container in both the factions I've played so far.
guild houses have them.
are there any available to non guilded people in the cities ?
if not, could could one be added ?
someone pointed out to me the other night that not everyone wants to be in a guild.

Re: containers.
This has come up several times in the past and the NS4 staff have always said no.

Re: containers.
if you are referring to the chests / boxes / ect that let you transfer items between characters, there is one such thing avail. for anybody to use, and its not inside a guildhouse.
Ya just cant transfer the higher-level crafted items in it (they will revert to a lower form if you do) nor can you transfer gold or stackable items (like potions, or arrows) all but 1 of the stackable items will be erased.
Thats all i feel like saying for now

Re: containers.
Just ask someone to transfer for you.
Generally you can find someone who's more than happy to stand in one spot for a minute.

These 2 statements should verify that this "Anvil" was not designed for transferring items. It is there as a means for players to use to repair items that may not have the right properties attached to it. Therefore to use it this "Anvil" for the transferring of items would be called an ..............diddy33 wrote:yeah, don't put a coffer full of dyes in it either. .all you get back is an empty coffer lol.

By all means use it to transfer stuff, but to do so is to "Use at your own risk." You never know if other items might disappear from time to time.

Very good advice.Blystos Re wrote:Just ask someone to transfer for you.

Re: containers.
See this kind of really frustrates me no end. I have extensively used the anvil since it became common knowledge it pretty much acted like a guild houses chests. I have even used it for books and potions and scrolls. With these lasts all you have to do is not stack them - put them in as single scrolls ( raise scrolls mostly) or potions.
My frustration stems from the fact that while i understand the "official" NS4 stance is that we do not go out of our way to help people meta-game. It seems to me that we DO if your in a guild. I guess i think personally that this seems to be a case of one rule for some (those with tags in an officially recognised guild) and another rule for others ( those who arent in a guild). Basically if we want to simply and without reliying on others being on or near say Avendell to have the best gear that we played hard to get on our toons - you need to join a guild.
I have said it before and ill say it again, not everyone wants to join guilds - i just cant see why the powers at be have a problem with allowing your lone wolf non-guild player to be able to mule and transfer, but have no problem with allowing a guild who by definition is a group of 5+ players that tend to be on together a lot of the time, and therefore really dont need a chest to hold there gear while they switch toons because they have guild mates
Anyways thats my 2 cents
*gets down from soap box*

Good Day!, I Said GOOD DAY !
Re: containers.
Well the reason that the staff helps those in guilds store gear and gives them access to chests is that it makes sense that if your part of a large group with a common cause and a castle of your own you will most likely have a store of items weapons and armor for times of war.
^Woot for long sentances!
Anyway if your a lone wolf then you have your bag and thats it. If you leave something sitting hoping it will be there when you get back your just asking for trouble. Join a guild and they can help you out.

I think that a publicly recognized persistant chest invites thievery and ninja looting. More administrative tasks that really don't need to be moderated.
Guild halls are locked. You 'trust' your guildmates not to steal your stuff while you log.
