Feature Spotlight - Tracking
As mentioned in the Neversummer 5 Documentation found here: http://www.nsrealm.com/public/ns/viewto ... 2#p1000882, Neversummer 5 will have Random Encounters, much like in Pen and Paper Dungeons & Dragons. In order to integrate this concept into a multiplayer online game, we've made it possible for players to follow other players to Random Encounters, enhancing the unpredictability of traveling through the lands of Aetheria. This ability is activated by clicking the Track Mode button on the default Neverwinter Nights 2 Mode bar before you go through a Random Area Transition.

You will then automatically attempt to track anyone that has recently passed through the Random Area Transition. The Difficulty Check uses your Survival Skill to determine whether or not you are successful at your tracking attempt and will increase dynamically as time passes. Investing Skill Points into Survival and Survival related Feats will of course increase your chances of tracking other players. It will also effect how well you cover your own tracks.

Behind The Scenes Spotlight - NS5 Admin Interface
Here's an example of some of the extensive back-end work we've done with NS5. Many of our core systems are adjustable via a web based toolkit - even while the game server is running. For example, spawns can be changed and added from the web interface, in addition to the drop system being tweaked, stores altered, etc. Quests and conversations plan to be changable from the web administration interface as well. All this leads to a more dynamic world that is very easy to change.
