I used to play back in the summer of 2002. Imagine my surprise and sheer joy when I found out this server was still running. I had a wizard build that I came up with myself (over four iterations of actually leveling the class) and I was thrilled with it. I now know nothing about the game anymore.

I kinda want to fight lots of people, but I also want to make friends. You see the dichotomy. It seems as the Last Alliance is the dominant way to play here, who plays the other factions? Looking at the relic wars information I would like to be one of those guys that gives LA a tough fight...

Anyways, I've owned the game for about a day now, still stuck on what to make. First attempt at a wizard is kinda rough, so I am thinking about making a fighter type to get gear for the wizard I want to play ultimately.

As for the Op, welcome back I recently just started playing here (again) myself. Been a member since 04'. La is on the downturn again right now, at least until the new patch comes out for the game and we get (or not, still being debated) a server wipe to make sure all the changes fit into the server nicely.

skiritai you made the right assumption that LA is where everyone normally flocks to, its always usually highly populated. However, being the leader of the Slaves (might remember Elessar and Dissection from waaay back when)...I'd like to invite you to come play in Ancient Ones. Its LA -paladin +RDD, can make a lot of builds here...

However, there are very few AO players at the moment. We dont have spiffy job bonuses like the other factions but also unlike those factions...we dont need them to kick [censored]

I love all the responses. Certainly I'm not upset to see some e-thugging in this thread. It means people care, and I'm all about that. That's how I get down myself, on occasion.

Ancient Ones, here I come. Just need to decide how to work my pwnage. I'm comfortable with the fact that my first several toons may not be what I want in terms of level 40 beatdown deliverance, but so far, having made some SL toons, caster types, and having my butt beat by mobs with CR that isn't even a full digit... I'm sad panda.
