Can someone please explain why Shadow Legion cannot use Rangers? Is the Underdark not a wilderness environment?

Just like there are grasslands, deserts, and mountains in MA. Yet.. no rangers.

Drizzt Do'Urden was a drow Ranger in 2nd edition... but he advanced levels in Ranger after he came to the surface. He was already a fighter in the Underdark before he emerged.

Thanks for the link, and for the record I wasn't looking to recreate Drizzt (ones enough). I was wondering because the leveling sheet allows for its selection and then the server says no. I was thinking that Rangers exist in more places than just under the open sky.
By the way something must be wrong with either my comp or the forums because I could make out very few words in the posts following my initial question.
Do multiple smilies obstruct or override words? Because that seems like the situation here.

But seriously MY question is WHY is Garagoth ABOVE GROUND on ns4?? In ns3 it's underground near the underdark, and even has a mysterious entrance in the caves, how did it rise out of the earth and end up topside?

ppffftt...its a magical town.
rangers as a base class cannot be MA or SL.
not in MA because as a divine spell caster/woodsy neutral type they do not like the hocus pocus of MA
not in SL because being underground in the caves with only a few places in the open it does not suit their "loner" nature.

I would have thought a Ranger for all those Drow scouting parties on the surface would be a better fit in shadow Legion than the Barbarians we have... I mean after all there ain't many nomadic tribal areas in the underdark.
Oh and the we dont want drizztz clones argument is null as Drizzts was obviously not allied with the most evil faction in his realm ... Drizztz would be a ranger Drow yes but in TC most likely and /that/ is still possible.
I think it may be because Ranger Assssins would be a nice obvious build and the server seems to limit the best base class for the unique PRC class in each faction.
