BTW FIRST POST I WINS - but that's not my core of the thread, really how do i measure feet??

he said okies have small feet - so where do we get a microscope to see how small their other body parts are.

Back to the topic, ahem. Feet are about 1/3 of a metre (lol). In NWN, think of a foot as being the length of a footstep while your character is walking. There's really no reliable way to measure it.

Bioware, being Canadian, built the game on the metric system (more Gary Gygax grave spinning, lol). A bench is about 2m long.
It's even harder to measure Gnoll foot steps, since the animation doesn't always fire

Hence the walking bit =) Everyone walks with the same stride length, although they may do it more quickly than others.

it would be good to know how much screen distance equals 40 feet - anyway to easily figure that?

It's an American thing...we use the British system while the UK uses metric

Actually the Brits use the "english" system if I'm not mistaken. The rest of Europe is pretty hardcore Metric though.

Screen distance would change based on the resolution you run the game at, and how large your monitor is.
