But, a reminder: don't upgrade if you want to keep playing on NS4 - we won't upgrade until the patch isn't in beta any more. But, flappy cloaks are coming! :)

Good news too, looks like there will be a 1.69 patch after that.

Looks like cloaks auto-hide wings and tails, and there are some image incompatibilities with some robes. Unclear as of now if cloak disables/edits will require a hak, or will be a server- or client- side option.

I'm assuming we're going to shoot for client-side options if available?

EVERYONE wears a cloak after at least level 9 (when you start running into stuff where saves vs fire/cold/electricity is useful) so this is something that affects everyone.

Why? The + to saves vs Frostdale creatures is very useful... even with Imp Evasion...

I guess u can use it to a tactical point though.

people won't know ur a rdd or a tiefling then.

although I don't think a cloak should fully hide dragon wings either :P

Dyes are an easy script change, not a big deal.

Fully folded wings could even hide under normal armour. I don't see why they shouldn't be hiding under a cloak.

But I think paying for wings isn't as good anymore, if this still is an option.

Little playing with the beta 2. They sure love clipping in this game :?

Other than that they animate and move fine. Wonder if they're adding the tabards (Tyrants of the Moonsea module), they look nice as well...plus there's 2 dusters (think trenchcoat) in that hak too.

The weird shadows on the left are from the hooks...nice if they'd fix those too.

At least you can see the cloaks now (or will we?). It was kinda stupid, the cloak was on the outside of all your gear yet you still couldn't see it...

what I wanna know (and would be really nice) is if you could dye shields and cloaks too... i guess leather or metal dye on wooden shield wouldn't turn out so well, luckily this isn't reality ;]

Shields aren't dynamic like armor and weapons is nor does it have the dynamic coloring of the helm models.

There could be shield-only "dyes" that change the model used to a different one.

It would be nice to have more dynamic everything...
