Am I the only one fed up with the Expansion packs?

Are there any extras in SoU that are any good? Maybe I won't feel quite as bad buying it if I knew I was getting more than just access to more of the servers.

I personally think that access to some of the PrC's would do it alone for the money. And I have to save up to be poor.

Some great PrC's are in SoU, like the Arcane Archer (Fun for Epic), Shadow Dancer, Assassin, and Blackguard (Sorry, but I hate Harpers)

Also, though it doesn't relate to NS, but SoU introduced Henchman inventory control, which means you've now got help AND a packmule!

three word's to back up SoU:

flesh to stone

as for HotU... hell, the entire thing is freaking awesome. but if you want to contend with epic level characters on NS4, you need HotU.

20 more levels
50 + new feats
Hundreds of new spells
11 new classes (PrCs)
6 new tilesets
Several Monsters (usually updated in patches)
Limits increased in toolset for enhancement, damage, resist, immunity, etc
Epic spells, feats, and skills

And double the balance issues and areas required to be made.

But there are people who just don't have money. I bought NwN years ago, I don't have money to throw away right now on something I'm not sure I'd use for very long.

By the way, I haven't been on NS for months, does NS require the expansions?
And, is NS still alive? Same headline that was there last I checked a month ago. I was thinking of installing NwN to see whats up. Would like to know if anyone still plays.
I know the creators have lives, just wondering if everything is still up.

NS requires SoU. But not HotU. HotU wl onyl be required for the epic areas from what i hear.

dont buy games on ebay that require CDKeys... lots of pricks buy the game, get the CDKey, then sell it all on ebay, and then you basicly have bought that [censored] a free game, and can only play when he isent.

you can get both expansions for cheap. if you play nwn for any amount of time, youll get your money's worth. playing on an epic server without HotU is like riding a moped to a harley show.
