Mask out for Euro

Post by Aarkon Draco »

Apparently Mask is released in Euro countries there are a coupple threads about the new classes feats ect on the bioware NWN2 forums.

some noted posts:

Auto quicken only effects lvls 0 - 3 spells, 0 - 1 for the first feat lvl 2 for the 2nd and lvl 3 for the third.

No Time Stop thank god IMO as it was a real cheese spell

Warlocks get 4 new invocations one for each level ( there may be more but thats all that was listed currently)

The Stormlord is NICE electrical and sonic damage to your thrown wep and spears tho no other spell like abilitys all of them seem to be centered on weapons.

Spirit Shaman has some nice abilitys but most involve spirits and effecting them so somewhat limited usefulness IMO

New Cleric Domains: Chaos: Slippery Mind, 1 - Color Spray, 5 - Confusion
Cold: Cold Resistance 5, 2 - Creeping Cold, 3 - Hypothermia, 9 - Polar Ray
Darkness: Blind Fight, 2 - Blindness and Deafness, 5 - Shadow Conjuration, 7 - Power Word Blind
Dream: Immune to Sleep, 1 - Sleep, 4 - Phantasmal Killer, 7 - Hiss of Sleep
Law: Iron Will, 1 - Lionheart, 5 - Hold Monster, 7 - Mass Hold Person
Luck: Luck of Heroes, 3 - Freedom of Movement, 8 - Greater Spell Mantle
Time: Improved Initiative, 3 - Haste, 7 - Premonition
Undeath: Extra Turning, 2 - Animate Dead, 7 - Create Greater Undead
War: Weapon Focus, 4 - Flame Strike, 8 - Power Word Stun

awesome stuff in all here is the "First Impressions" thread that has alot of this info for your own perusing

Love the improved cleric domains, should make for some interesting mix of class abilities. Storm Lord also makes for a nice addition to possibilities for range attacks.

Yup, it's the new Travel. Most now take Travel only for Haste. Time has Premonition as well for kicks.

I'm liking the feats included with the domains instead of just spells, very cool. :D

Another change in the expansion is how Epic BAB is handled.

It doesn't equalize. Classes continue to gain BAB based on class-type.

yeah i seen a coupple posts on that stating a ftr class ( 1/level bab) will get 6 attacks/round at lvl 26+ while some may see this a bad i think it is a good boon for ftr types to atleast compete with caster types for damage per round.

I think it's a great thing!

Not only does it give an advantage to fighter types in melee, it does away with one of the strange things about NWN. Two builds, with identical ending levels, can have different BABs because they took levels in a different order. Eh?

What I'm curious about now is how Divine Power and Tensor's is going to handled. Will it equalize the attacks completely or only partially?

yah! That is very interesting information...

My biggest problem with NWN2 is there is WAY too much choice! I can't decide on a build, there are just sooo many cool choices and combinations.

I'd really like to know ahead of time what NS5 will do with multiclassing.

ie: 1 or 2 PRC limit? 3 total class limit? etc... hopefully allow PMs in all factions that don't have to be only 'good' aligned (to help with balance).

Lol. Try DDO. Unbelievable amount of options.

i agree the PM should be in the "almost all" factions catagory make the Red Wizard of Thay the unique for MA or its equivelent (wich is still a very nice unique PRC for a faction).

As a character builder....I want -more- options. There is only so much you can do in NWN1 and ns4 build wise before everything starts looking the same and each build follows a similar formula.

It would be nice to be able to make a completely -new- build when someone needs one, things that people havent seen before and that are still effective...that is very difficult to do with nwn1. yea you can make something different...but chances are it will suck.

though....im not sure how good all those options are, since i dont have nwn2...but...thousands of possible combinations would surely lead to more possibilities than available now.

i am so looking forward to the red wizard class, now enchantment specialists wont be rendered useless by munchkin builds with ridiculous saves. woo for dominate monster!

found something out about the Favored Soul that kinda sux ... while you use you CHA for number of spells/ day ect you still use your WIS for spell DC so its a caster that needs 2 stats just to cast. IMO this puts a real kink in the class and im not shure of this but im thinking the Spirit Shaman is prolly the same.

this to me took these classes down a notch in coolness and adjusted my ideas of builds with these classes.
