and yes I've relogged a handful of times. This is what happened; I read a +2 Str book Sunday night 4/13 and after relogging found that my Str was still 14. I can't figure out what is wrong and since my Diary shows that I used the book, which means that I can't ever raise this character's Str unless I find a +4 book. At character creation I had a 14 Str, 17 Dex, 12 Con, 14 Int, 12 Wis, 8 Cha. When I selected Drow as a subrace my Int and Cha went to 16 and 10 respectively. At 4 and 8 I selected Dex which raised me to 19 and then I read my dex book which put me up to 21. I relogged and then read my Str book. When I relogged the points were not given to me, the 5k xp was gone and I'm stuck with not being able to read another Str book, which I wouldn't mind doing but since it's in my Diary, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to read another one. Please if a DM could either give me the 2 Str or take away the Str book from my Diary so I can find another Str book I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help,

As a suggestion to all players. Take a Screen Short of your pc's stats after you have gone through the Rift and have landed in your faction city. Keep it on file. It has been know to lose book stat points at much higher levels even after having those points registered for some time. I know this because it did happen to me. I lost +2 stats at level 38. Other Screen Shots would be handy is: just before you use a book. Stat SS should always be taken without any gear so we see the actual stat and not enhanced.

The Screen Shots will go a long way in helping us, helping you.

^ seconded that

when the books first appeared in atheria ; there were occasional issues with them ... just some words of advice from fatty : (and to regurgitate some of Kim's suggestions)

1. be sure to use the book when the server is not laggy
2. use the diary and log out BEFORE using the book.
3. take a SS before using the book - with the book selected in your inventory (to prove its existance)
4. take a SS during / afterwards of the book usage to again prove its use (or attempted use)
5. relog a second time after using the book (regardless if it worked or not) to be sure the change was properly saved to the server database).
6. be sure to SPAM somthing, on a daily basis - weather it be at work ; over a PA system ; or on the internet.

seems like alot of steps... but.... once you get used to the 'backing yourself up' aspect of our server, it will become second nature to preform.

and of course murphys law and/or karma will always smite you at the most vulnurable of times ! so be sure to make an offering at the altar of karma, located in the secret plane of gas... where giant flatulent dragons roam !
