Timestop
Re: Timestop
Used to be able to stop the hellball from doing damage, and the KD would be useless considering noone could do anything. Or use it to run after nabbing a relic (something Im sure MLoki misses particularly). Now I can waste half a round to cast it.

Re: Timestop
previous version of timestop was more useful (and felt more.. well, time-stoppy). i think it ran into problems only when it tried to be party friendly.
Re: Timestop
Yeah I kind of built a character around that concept and it worked great until I started getting spotted and now that Timestop doesn't work it's just about time for retirement.Korr wrote:Used to be able to stop the hellball from doing damage, and the KD would be useless considering noone could do anything. Re: Timestop
I built a toon I thought it would be fun to be able to keep 25% of my party out of the timestop to do whatever, now well I wish I went abjuration so I could be completely undispellable and dispell anyone (but those anti-focused of course).

Re: Timestop
i thought the dispell check on a lvl 40 was high enough to make them undispellable as on a 20 it should be a tie.

Re: Timestop
You need to be abjuration focused to dispell a 40th level caster

Re: Timestop
cap on greater dispel was raised to 25 iirc
Re: Timestop
25 + d20 vs caster lvl + 11
so 45 vs 51 (40th level caster)
Abjuration focus gives you a +2 (+4 for greater +6 for epic) to dispell, raising to a cap top 31 + d20. So 51 is max.
Luckily for those who wish to never be dispelled you can take arcane defense abjuration and receive 13 + caster level (max 53) as ur dispell check (in other words undispellable).
Although mords and breaches work different. There is no check its an auto strip of certain spells.

Re: Timestop
I always thought that a perfect 20 dispels regardless. Is this not true?

Re: Timestop
but a tie of 51 and 51, 51 being the max you can get on a dispell if you focus in it, who dose that faver the dispeller or the target.

Re: Timestop
Dispeller.
Dispel system needs work, I haven't thought of something that covers all 40 levels. Probably won't happen.

Re: Timestop
But strangely enough its not the same for bigby. If your 9th level bigby has an AB of 50 and you roll a 15, you miss 65 AC.
