NC Cradle room and nexus portal

After a long chase from SL to NC, following a raider carrying the SL relic, I enter the NC cradle room to find that I was only 1 screen behind the thief! They are surely dispelled now and I should attack quickly. I ignore the Coalition Enforcers buffing in the corner as I close on my quarry. A few good hits and the enemy is hurt but able to evade... I chase after her as we do a quick lap around the room and the culprit runs to a nexus portal in the center of the room and escapes. I am unable to follow. Quickly I run AWAY from the now buffed Enforcers and begin clearing an area to rest. I return to glance at the cradle to assess the situation, and there is now a buffed PC defender, rested and ready to go. I never got a chance to rest and was pretty depleted. I lasted a little longer once I equipped a shield.

I can't blame the tactition... it was an advantageous escape and victory, and I would probably have done the same given a similar environment. But, I don't have a similar environment. That's the problem... I don't have a faction-spefic escape portal within 20 ft of my cradle. Mine is actually 2 maps away. In the back.

It was mentioned by another player that this may have been an issue regarding MA defense in the past?

True, although I never rested in the nexus, its full of mobs, I would never have returned as fast as I did. I just finished buffing.

And sry to say it, but you came full buffed to the temple to defend and the outcome was the same. I dont think it was because you werent prepared enough, that you lost...

Still it is a valid point. Cradle and nexus shouldnt be close together. The same happens in Underhome with RK and in Sleeth with AO.

The first 2 lines of your post are uneccessary. I left out the names and details because those types of flames always ellicit a response, and I would like to stay on topic. I could respond with accounts of your deaths and other battle details... but lets not go there

Well, because of your so impartial report I already got some heat. One player (from RK whose relic was at that time still in the SL cradle) felt obliged to steal and hide the NC relic. True, he doesn't really matter... I just wrote down how it happened from my point of view...
If you find our relic btw. let me know where heh...

well I mean if someones able to take a relic into the nexus portal then that is broken and should be fixed, cos im sure they aren't supposed to be able to do that..

but if the relic was capped first then the person escaped via nexus, then nothing wrong with that. so u didn't get a PK? so what.
