Connecting to an encrypted wireless network

Post by Mr. O'Dearly »

I've been having troubles connecting to my wireless network at home.

My home network uses WPA-PSK with TKIP encryption.

I attempted to connect with Network Manager but the connection times out while trying to authenticate.
An excerpt from what I believe is the pertinent part of my log is posted below.

I WAS able to connect by turning off the networks encryption and password security.

Any ideas on how to fix this? My Dad's paranoid and wants to get his encryption back up. :P

Hmmm, Never used that one, so not really sure how to fix the problem. However I can say that I've had encrypted networks working fine with Suse and Fedora, so it's possible to get working, Anyone one else got this working in ubuntu ? Is their a graphic admin application ? Suse has Yast which is how I setup the networking.

Gave up on getting Network Manager to work.

Used
