To wipe or not to wipe, that is the question today. Have we acquired some "Klingons" that need wiped extra hard? Or is it just the sanitary "wipe to make sure?" Or was it a false alarm and just some gas making a wipe unnecessary? I spose only time will tell.

I've been through the wipe.
In fact, I've been through several wipes, and I can't see the benefits of having another one here. As far as I know, for DM's it might take the flick of a wand to spawn another 40th, but for players, it takes hard work, perseverance, and discipline. But most of all, it takes time.
One slip up while leveling can take over a day to regain the experience needed to fix it, and not everyone has that time for ns4 anymore. When I first joined the forums one of the first posts I read was one saying something like "Neversummer 4 isn't like other servers. Experience isn't given out like candy. Leveling to 40 is a true accomplishment, something worthwhile." I personally don't know of anyone who can level to 40 in a week, without 50% relic bonus, 0 ecl, and 4 friends ready to jump on the computer when you do. It takes more like a good month or two of playing, and when you finish, it feels worth it.
If you are one of those people who really want to experience a wipe, all you need to do is remake a new character on a new account and only get items and help from people you newly interact with. I, for one, am deeply thankful and happy due to the time the DM's, DEV's, and Administration devote to run this server and make it enjoyable for all of us, as I play for hours every day as testament to this fact. I also really enjoy the myriad of different people this world offers for me to meet. However, NWN is an old game. If truly another wipe must come, I will take it as is due and quit, and probably so will a portion of the server, off to newer things.

A big majority of the M.D. had multiple level 40's, the best available gear, several books, etc.
It all came to an end real quick. Am I upset for the loss of all those things...you bet. All of the items that were collected can be collected again. The worst part about the loss is all the time that was spent in order to acheive what we had.
On the other hand, it has been refreshing to start over. It has been hard, but fun.
I would vote for a wipe. It gives everyone a chance to start new builds or try new guilds.
WIPE! WIPE! WIPE!

ok. 2 things i would like to say.
1. MD were completeley WIPED as a punishment like a week ago. Wiping everyone else kind of negates the punishment for me.
2. Ima Nobody but. So if you do go ahead with this , is there any chance at all of giving every player 1 and i mean 1 toon of the highest lvl they have achieved??
At least this way its like a compromise and people have something to show for their hours of devotion etc.
just my 2 cent worth.
