Clericus Liberatus Anno Domini
Sorry folks, I can't do this anymore. Im tired of being the good guys and getting shot down everyday. Tired of being griefed and worked over time and time again. I thought we could do something about it...but there isn't a way in which i can achieve such goals without divesting more time than i want to in a game that isn't fun anymore.
I'm moving to Shadows of Aantioch, a server with all the old faces from NS3. When this server gets its act together, maybe i'll come back. But for now im out. I'll be in throughout the rest of next week to get items off of my guys and to donate freely to CLAD. Sorry folks. This server just aint fun anymore.

I've tried fire, i've tried faith, and i've tried force, all I have left is hope.

We shall not give in!
Several ideas came to mind in order to further the cause of CLAD (NOTE: these are just being thrown out...Kurth has the final say on them):
1) Form far reaching alliances with existing players. This would be the easiest and quickest help, as the players do not need to start from scratch to aid us. Also, these allies would not have any tag in their name, making them spies of sorts.
2) RE-open recruitment for CLAD. Although we had an initial influx of recruits, few made it to be an effective lvl, while many simply gave up on us. Check out the list on the website...I see very few of those 15-some odd online any more. We need more motivated people like Lework, Will, and Giz that can quickly level and help us.
Our strength lies in our teamwork...we must expand this in order to remain a viable force in the realm. Any suggestions???

But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

Allow {CLAD} to make builds other then cleric, pally, and cot. Maybe even allow other factions. Instead of protecting Daeron at all costs we could be more about protecting all good people. Then we can make builds to counter the builds coming after us. Especially if someone has shown 15 raises I think they should be given permission to make any good aligned build.
About pvp problems...if you can't beat em don't bother with them, just keep going for the xp. I stopped running back to Daeron every time someone said it was under attack because I wasn't contributing as much or got there too late or the attackers are bound inside and the fight never ends. Even when I am strong enough to pvp I won't bother running to Daeron all the time, but I will kill the pkers on the mountain or wherever I find them. If I can't kill them I will go else where. But if we stop fighting every fight we can get our collective levels up and be a more potent force.

Well, it is sad to see the weight of the constant onslaught of evil pulling down on our membership. We must stand strong and continue to do what we can to show those who serve darkness that the light will prevail.
One Ashley Okie attacked Daeron today, not to attack the city, but to get a chance to fight 3 {CLAD}. We died, but we fought honorably and our souls were pulled back through the rift so that we could continue to show others that this effort is not in vain. We died, got up and brushed ourselves off and returned to training to get better so that we will eventually be able to repulse the invaders.
The two others that fell with me in defense of Daeron this day were
Kala the Cleric
Xavier Reyer
They fought honorably inspite of the odds that were stacked against us.

Hasn't been much activity here recently, as many of us have started new characters...I silently switch, though, at the first mention of an attack on Daeron.
I have had various requests from people looking to join CLAD, but since our leadership is gone for now I don't know what to do. We NEED more people but seem to be unable to get any.
Comments??

Can you get in touch with ATI in any form or fashion? I thought he was on IRC from time to time, but I don't have IRC yet again. The only other option imo would be to get the people who are still on together somewhere and discuss what to do. We could appoint interim leadership by consensus, with the requirement that however steps up must step down upon return of Kurth or ATI, or until another such meeting takes place to pick guild leadership. I personally don't think CLAD ought to give up the ghost, I saw too many good words being said about us by many players to think we were a bad idea.
Hope to see you all soon; it is taking forever toget apt set up here in Waco, TX.
