For the time being, Kurth and I have decided, at the behest of Giza that while we are still making and leveling characters, we must be able to protect ourselves. Therefore you may use your higher lvl characters to fight off enemies that threaten our goals. Hopefully this temporary hiatus will give us an edge when traveling and leveling in Daeron.

You know, from my travels and the aid of CLAD during these past 5 days, my Cleric has most nearly surpassed my "regular" character. Soon, it will not be necessary to change back and forth.

OUr time of grace seems to be over, the Okies are flocking down on us, and on top of that we have others who just simply want to hurt us invading Daeron hourly. This very bad times for those who would seek to bring light back to the world of Aetheria.

In these hard times, we have to resort to drastic measures. Please...all members, your first priority is to get yourself experience. It is fun to role play and chat with each other, but we must absolutely make sure that we are lvling. At this rate our strength is not high enough to deal with the threats that face Daeron.

Next, defense of Daeron is secondary to our first objective of leveling. Daeron will have to get smashed a couple times before we can go back and call Daeron a safe home again. Due to recent negotiations with Okies, we have on good authority, information that Okies will be invading us on a regular basis without any regard to our lives. Meaning we can no longer count on Daeron to be safe. If you must stay away from Daeron till you are strong enough to return...please stay away from Daeron until you are strong enough.

When we are all strong, we will take back Daeron with a vengance, and our enemies will rue the day they threatened us. However, this does not mean we should relax in our purpose. Evil will be met with force...do not hesitate to call upon your brethren for help.

I know we will ahve hard times ahead of us, but stay together help each other, and most importantly help those around you. The more allies we get, the better off we will be. We have emmissaries going to the far reaches of Aetheria, representing our cause. At any chance we can make an ally, use your abilities to help others to sway them towards to good.

Stay strong everyone. Soon our castle will shine like the glory of our cause.

Last night, a most unfortunate event happened: while defending Daeron, an equivalent-level player to me (forgot his name) suddenly went hostile and aided in the attack. This was near the Barracks, so I defended myself and killed him.

Turns out he was an NC cleric who was for some reason helping the enemy...this upset the guards around me, and my character auto-attacked them since the nearby guards became hostile.

The result of all this: I have been banished from Daeron.

Perhaps I can now serve as a perimeter defense of sorts...unforutnately, there seems no current way to get back into good favor.

Any suggestions?

Oh, and by the way, Ashley Okie complimented us, saying we should "Keep at it". It is not so much that she wants us dead, but that she wants someone to fight...and that someone is us. This is why we need to continue to grow in experience...to be able to combat such threats.

A question...

If our cleric has reached his/her 9th season, should we now create a paladin, and level them up?

I would suggest continuing to lvl the cleric. We need high level characters quickly. So I would recommend lvling your cleric to the high teens before making a paladin.

Alright a few things need to be updated: (LAST UPDATE SUN 03:20 8/15/04)

1. Requirements for {CLAD}: All new members must A) have 15 screen shots (SS) of them raising other players not in {CLAD}, B) have an lvl 15 char up for review. You are not allowed to use people you PK and then raise as your Scren Schots (SS). If anyone is cought using a PK SS for the requirement you will be asked to take 5 more shots for every PK SS.

2. All current members of {CLAD} need to get the 15 raised char requirement finished and sent to Me or ATI. This must be done by the 27th of August (i.e. midnight). If you do not get it done you will be asked to put a hold on using your {CLAD} chars and we might ask that a DM put your {CLAD} chars in limbo. Same rules apply.

3. {CLAD}'s doors are shut for renovatiosn this month and will reopen on the 14th of September (subject to change). So in this time we will not be accepting new members but will be looking heavily into who holds and upholds the ideals of {CLAD}.

3. There can only be 3 official {CLAD} Quartermasters: Between me, ATI and Gizamaluke we have each hired one QM. Please do not put tags on any char you think about using as a storage unit, ATM storage characters or Mules are very taboo and the DM and Devs randomly go through the vaults and wipe Mules from the data base (DB). Also the offical QM's have the tag {CARD} as a joke for Cardinal... long story.

3. Once your clerics has reached its 13 season start on a defender build. As of now we have decided that there will be a strict difference on all new chars between Medic and Defender. Medics will not engange in combat. Medics must primarly have 13 lvls of Cleric before they can choose a different class path. Defenders can be any NC class as of now. Medics should have hte name structure '{CLAD} <Name> The Cleric' while the defender name structure should be 'Defender <name> {CLAD}'

#4 Start making some scrolls and potions. We need to start selling them at a price we can all agree on. I sujest the equation (lvl • XP) + (2 • GP) = asking price (lvl = level of the char making the goods, xp = the amount of xp need to make the goods, GP = the gold need to make the goods).

#5 It is our firm policy that we will trade 10 raise scrolls for 1 box! Spread the word! Therefore you should all have at least 10 scrolls on you at all times to either sell or trade for a box.

Why, you might ask? we need them for: storing scrolls, gems, potions, for new members and chars, QMs, and our current members.

We really need to take screen shots of raises? How do we do that any way and where is it stored? I always forget. Maybe that req should come after we've power levelled to avoid us searching for dead and maybe weaving thru low xp lands. 15 seems high too..

Screenshots are easy --- just hit PrtSc (usually attop of keyboard) when raising and then open paint, click paste and blam you got a screenshot...

If you already have a level 15 cleric like the req.s state you should be able to raise 15 in a day or two if you simply travel around --- especially high use places like giant mountain

I'm gonna write up a back story for my chars (all my chars.. the Kurth Family) which already have a loose back story... but I think it would be cool if we could all put something together like this:

You should make an annoucement about this guild on the NC page (not that anyone could miss all the {CLAD} running around), just in case someone likes NC and doesn't see the other posts.
