The huge problem of Ecl

ECL sucks. It is impossible to deal with when trying to lvl. And this is the way it should be since these subraces get such boosts to things ranging from skills to spell resistance.
However, I think there should be a party incentive in addition to the individual incentive. What if some synergy tactics could be subrace specific (get the four genasi together and you get some powerful elemental resistance for everyone or get 4 gith together and you get a powerful chaos mind attack or get a few drow together and you get less light sensitivity).
This would be a horrible idea if these synergy tactics were much more powerful than any normal grouping of chars synergy bonus. I'm just thinking a little bit more powerful (like an extra 1d6 damage on a spell or an extra 5% resist or somesuch).
