The Greatest Item Ever: recalculate max hps
The Greatest Item Ever: recalculate max hps
what would totally rock is a book/diary option/quest npc that would look at your levels, and then recalculate all your hit points as if you had rolled max on every level up.
that way you wouldn't have to waste play time trying to roll max hps, you can just level up instantly then a few levels later hit the npc and get recalculated.

yeah. not sure if thats a script or just an engine feature.
from what i can see the hard part is doing the grunt work of calculating class hps + feats etc. from my brief perusal of nwnlexicon.com i can write up a code skeleton that would at least have all this info in c pseudocode. that would at least take the drudge work out of it.
the result would be a funciton that should be easier to morph into a game object ... either npc or item or what have you.

It does... but it also forces you to use MOST of your skill points on levelup, which nwn1 doesn't, so theres a trade off.mgrjebbo wrote:it seems to me that nwn2 does that automaticly, wonder if that script could be barrowed and adapted
Pretty sure this is a bioware hardcoded situation and can't be changed -- possibly the 1.69 patch may resolve it.

I don't think you got the point.....it can be added using leto scripts...I don't think they are interested in implementing it..disastro wrote:i know. its complicated. but it would be so frickin sweet i'd do it myself. alas i know nothing of nwn hackery.$chase$ wrote:dont hold your breath

was already half done lol.
I personally would actually love to see this feature and have seen it on a few other sites...but i think it's more of a metagaming issue, (please correct me if i am wrong....) (although maybe a limit of twice or once per toon, maybe as a +2/4 book like device where "+2 version" has to be used pre lvl 21 and "+4 version" only at lvl 40....hmmm)

its definitely metagaming, but its more of a quality of life issue similar to death express. if it was implemented there shouldnt be too many restrictions on its use.. its meant to make daily life easier and keep the focus on the game, not on the level up screen.SkotG wrote: I personally would actually love to see this feature and have seen it on a few other sites...but i think it's more of a metagaming issue, (please correct me if i am wrong....) if this was more of an rp server then the reverse would be the way to go (a way to ensure random hit points to prevent folks who metagame reroll from having a major advantage in hps over those who dont).
Upon reset once per day... I've seen it on other worlds and works fine... But then again, I've seen places where resting is only allowed all 8 game hours too. So... I wouldn't complain if that would be introduced too.DM Sun Tzu wrote:Actually, the script to do this is trivial. The hard part is hooking it into the right place.
