I like how this item has a Ranger 5 slot for metamagic spells. Any chance fo placing a Bard 7 slot on an item (like on the Chanters Shroud) or two for the same reason?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe only the divine/wisdom based spell lines can put spells into the higher level slots, not the arcane ones.

Yeah, that's the unfortunate Bioware-spawned reality... I'd love to have a stilled Dirge, but items don't create slots above the max for arcane casters.

Flailer, from what I have been able to glean from the NWN Wiki and scattered posts here and there, I believe a Bard who is also a PM can access L7 spell slots if the slot is made available on an item. Since a Bard can't take Auto Still feats, a STR-based Bard is for all practical purposes limited to the Still Spell metamagic feat and L5 spells. A L7 slot would allow him to cast Dirge, Ice Storm, Mass Haste et. al. I guess I should have taken the time to test this out before posting the request; if adding the slot seems like an agreeable suggestion, I will test it out and report my findings. Unless Yonwe you are certain that it is not possible.
