Apart for some stuff (mostly weapons) there's a vast absence of non crafted lvl 20 gear, talking about belts, boots,rings, helmets, light and heavy armor (slave masters plate need a tune-up). And since previously posted stuff (like avendell transfer boxes) most part of DMs/DEVs don't like the idea of muling/crafting stuff and transfer into another toon (since its unrealistic in a world filled with magics and dragons....).We have a hard need of replacement gear to cover. Most of my toons i expirience, when i don't take gear out of the mules, i stick with lvl 13 and 16 gear untill like lvl 30, wich never can be the meaning of this fairly decent balance realm, or am i wrong in this?
Ok, i can live with the idea that higher lvl gear becomes harder to get than lower lvl stuff, but like things are now, lvl 30 gear is way easier to get by than lvl 20-30 stuff.

Agreed. Never thought about it, but I'd have to agree... I generally wear mostly lvl 16 stuff until 25. Only level 20 item I have is the Crystal Amulet.

That was actually the idea at the time. When the golden mithril and adamantium stuff was put in there were no crafting upgrades, so adding generic level 20 gear would have made crafters completely useless.

though i have to say i generally blow past level 20->25 so quickly that it would be a tragedy to roll a crafter just to make eq that's used for like, one night.

i think the player based craft trading economy would really pick up if you were not limited to making 1 level 20 item per 12 hours. I'd rather see that limit applied to upgrading (only allow one item to receive all upgrades in a 12 hour period). at least for weapons/gear/armor.

that's one way to address the level 20 item gap.

I've got an MA arcane, tailor, and leather crafter. So, if any of you need level 20 gear (gloves, cloaks, boots, amulets, belts, helms, etc.), I can supply some (75k or a coffer per level 20 item sound good?). I also have some golden mithril items as well as some surplus named drops if any of you are interested in that.

Btw, I'm on Prime only, so I won't be able to provide my services for anyone playing on Reflections.

There's a trade thread over in the DCN forum *packed* with MA crafters looking to sell stuff you know.

i usually only check the general threads or the reflections threads since that's where i play), i will look into dcn.

on reflections at least whenever i shout looking for crafted gear i get nothing (actually i got one response, once.) maybe it's a function of when i play, but by the time i find a crafter through other channels I'm already level 25.

an auto sell/auction box would be a [censored] to code probably but would be really cool. or a mail system where you could mail money/items back and forth so you dont have to be logged on at the same time to execute transactions.

You know, since posting in the Real Trade Thread, I've gotten absolutely no response. I'd post in the DCN forums, but I'm not sure if they're still into trading and I'd hate to necro a thread.

Trading aside, I haven't seen many level 20 non-crafted gear around either. Like other people, I usually suck it up and level to 25 or 30 and make a major gear upgrade with the items at that level. It seems most level 20 items that I've come across are artifacts rather than area/boss drops.

Aye, but being "forced" into giving more to a "monopoly" seems wrong, when there is another game in town....

er. huh?
there's hardly a monopoly on MA crafters - every guild has them and quite a few individuals. there's nothing stopping anyone making one.
