just some musings after a few days back on the prime server.

1. in the guilds section create a forum exclusively for the NPC's to post on, Tagnar and Leonsbane must have opinions too!

2. A save boost (or imunity) for Earth Gensai againt petrification/stone hold/etc, after all aren't they partly earth mater anyway.

3. I will probibly regret saying this but have the death spoil the dragon-dew in the MA quest (death express defeats the challange in the quest right away).

4. Maybe I was just unlucky but look at the balance the ratio's of Medusa/Basalisk/Cockatryce in the Angmar wastes, I had to beat off around fifteen Bassalisk and encountered twelve Medusa before I finally found my fifth Cockatryce. If the cockatryce population were to double the problem would half.

5. Everyone toast a drink to the DMs and Developers this weekend.

1. We already have an RP forum, where the devs and dms sometimes do that sort of thing.

2. It'd make sense from an RP perspective, but the Earth Gens really have enough going for them already.

3 and 4. I don't play MA, but go for it :p

5. Heck ya!

youve got to be nuts, earth gens. got way to much stuff going on as it is. and you want them to have more. hell the way it is now, im tempted to ask for earth gen to be put in rk. lol, imagine an earth gen dwarven defender.

Actualy those spells are a fort save, so the erthgen, due to the added con, has a boosted save agenst em :p

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

Stonehold is a will save.

Petrification I can see, but IMHO making earth gen resistant to Stonehold doesn't make so much sense anyway. It doesn't turn the target to stone, it encases them in stone. Being part stone or earth yourself doesn't make you any more resistant to that.

Mind you why having a strong will would make you resistant to it is a bit of a mystery too, but hey.

I've actually wondered this myself... any PnP'ers out there care to offer an explanation?

*wills not to be encased in the stone* ... *stone wins*
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

How this effect would be carried in a cloud of gas and is considered mind-affecting is also a bit mysterious. I think this spell just works on a level too far removed for us mere mortals to understand.

Incidentally I had a look at a stock D&D description of the spell (that may not be official) and it's sooo different. It describes conjured stone arms that make grapple checks.
