Cairns and Lorekeepers

Dwarf: Cairn
Long exiled from their traditional homelands down below, these hardy, grey-skinned dwarves live in nomadic bands upon the surface, occasionally settling down to form small villages. They get their name from their tradition of interring their dead in rocky cairns so as not to break the terms of their exile. The Barrow Dwarves, followers of Brogan Nachtjager, are considered a heretical offshoot of the Cairn Dwarves.

Dwarf: Lorekeeper
Buried deep within their mountain fortresses, Lorekeeper Dwarves pursue a solemn life of ascetic monasticism. They value knowledge and awareness above all else, dedicating themselves to the creation, maintainance, and study of vast underground libraries. Many make pilgrimages to the surface world in search of new books and reports of wars and famines in distant lands.

Favored Class: Wizard

+2 Save vs. Mind-Affecting Spells
-1 Fortitude Save
+4 Lore
+4 Spellcraft

more choices ?

The more dwarves the better. Can we have a bard favoured dwarf subrace because everyone knows dwarves rock the house down and have the best singing voices! Perhaps the Lorekeepers can be bards and leave those wizzes to the humans and fairy elf folk

Gnomes too, which RK has access too, no?

Yes we musn't forget gnomes. They deserve more subraces beyond smurfs.

Now come to think of it how about Tinker Gnomes with some bonuses to crafting and Gully Dwarves, a merging of gnome/dwarf breeding or so it is rumoured. With their Cornered Rat feat (similar to defensive stance) but not so rock like but jelly like; bonuses to DEX and saves and AC.

Anyone have the PnP stats for either and care to share

lets see what the devs say about the original post before we start expanding out. but i for one would greatly like to see more choices comming out of RK
