Cleric Armor vs Mage Robes..
Cleric Armor vs Mage Robes..
This is a question and suggestion. There are mage robes (Bandit robes of groundding) That are lvl 13 and provide spell slots. Obviously this is nice as it provides bonus slots on the robe and the related armor for the class (sorc or wiz). Is there such an armor for clerics? I was pointed to the holy dwarven plate which is lvl 25. It would be nice if there were a similar armor for clerics at lvl 13 or so if there isnt.

Cleric spell slots.
There is in deed a Formian Ammulate that grants 2 cleric spell slots and one that grats 3 spell slots. they have 1 each of 1st, 2nd,3rd and the one a 4th level spell. I think thats the levels granted. I do know one gives 2 slots and the other gives 3 slots. There may also be a cloak that offers a slot or two. You would have to farm them though for these items.

The Holy Plate is the only armor that grants slots that you know of. Mages get their slots from robes, and while druids & clerics get theirs from holy amulets. The amulets are good for low levels, but when you get high level it pays off more to take a wisdom amulet for more spell slots over-all and natural armor class.

My point is that other casters get multiple items that have bonus slots where mostly clerics only seemt o have ammies. And in response to 'clerics being able to melee when they run out of spells' Thats a very narrow definition of a cleric.. A cleric doesnt HAVE to melee, a cleric can just go complete spell caster. All im saying is I was under the impression that the bonus slots only on given items existed to keep thigns balanced.. I would like to see some armor at the lvl 13 area with bonus slots.. maybe even just medium armor.. Or id like to know if they already exist.

The point is Qui, Clerics don't need any boost by other items. Even if they had no items like ammies, they would still be one of the best classes around. Sure, they don't have to go melee once the spells are cast, but they are able to. Mages can't... Once the spells are cast, they are pretty defenseless.
If there is a reason to compare, start with classes who really need some help, love and boost

I would personally favor more spell slot items for cleric. I forgot that Mages also get helmets for slots like the Helm of the Grand Mystic.
I made a Cleric spellcaster (Gary -BB-), hes currently at level 33 with 42 Wisdom. I aimed for him to be what a cleric is supposed to be, cleric party support. Then he shifted over to Divine Power and Favor, because that ended up as better party support as a dwarven tank on the mountains with those spells and +4 AC vs. Giants. Then they nerfed those two, which I have no problem with.
I like the shift towards party support, but a few things might need to be done to complete the shift. Mass Heal still acts as our old Heal did, I took Healing Domain and it heals 120 hp. At planar levels, its a little helpful but the tank is the one getting damaged and 120 hp healed out of 600 isn't squat. I've been farming (guilty) Dwarven Home for the Holy Plate (Level 6 and 7 slots add one more extended haste and resurrection) and have yet to get it
.
Kind of a rant there, but be nice to see more items of the like. The Holy Plate is a really good idea. Could just increase its drop rate, or add in other things. I mean, if you think about, anything can be blessed by the gods. So, there could be a Holy Ring with a jewel of a god. A Holy Sword, just anything you could think of.
Just my opinion, been waiting for the Holy Plate forever. 5 Levels later and still no sight of it
. I think I'm just one unlucky dwarf

Dwarf on Dwarf fighting.
I have sent a PM to Netrom over this item and the subject of Dwarf on Dwarf warfare. This should never, ever occure. I am inquiring as to how this and other Dwarven items may be obtained by us Dwarves. I believe we should treat the home plains as just that, our home. It should be a place where Dwarves should be able to do epic quests for the Dwarven Gods. Such as defeat a Giant horde invading the Plain. Where we should be the defenders not the attackers.
I believe we should receive items to fit our class, race and level as prizes for such quests. If we base these as team oriented then we can actually have faction on faction raids of the home plains much like the Relic raids but, here we have a wonderful prize awaiting the victors and the Gods get to brag on whom defeated whoms subjects.

Urm, I just said I asked.
Hello, I just said I asked Netrom. I may not have stated that but, I did ask why they were hostile to us. Please refrain from saying something is gay just because you fail to understand it.

Topic.
I was tring to find a way for Dwarves to obtain the Dwarven Items without having to farm the Home plains for the drops and add a wider array of quests for us. I appologize if my trying to get things for us to do after we hit level 40 offends you.
