Secondary Devil Angel use

Post by Woulph »

Greetings, so we all know Devil Angel deletes characters, by taking the soul from the character. Here's the twist however... what if the soul taken reforms to defend thier hometowns... Orb Cradle. Perhaps allow the spirit to remain for maybe a month, or added to a pool of possible spirit guardians that replace each other randomly when one dies. Anyone else want to add on the idea, please feel free.

People could abuse this in many ways by creating characters just for deletion for this purpose.

The higher the character the more it matters. So if someone wants to sacrifice thier level 40, then more power to them!

And a minimum level for it to count would prevent abuse. Anything under level 15 does nothing, for example.

Indeed at level 40 they would be great.. perhaps they could retain thier equipment. Also, in order to keep the pool of characters clean and strong, it could be a ranking system at that. Perhaps a.. top 20 best characters up to date. The more time and care put into thier characters the longer thier characters would be immortalized. It could be a motivational factor to the build perfectionists.
Plus the big problem is usually people are far away from town, or simply offline during the times thier towns get attacked. Having spirits to defend the orbs would bring some fairness to the defence. The unity between guilds would grow in importance as a result too hopefully...

Just keep an epic toon at home, and log to defend. Last time I check that was allowed, no?

This is true that u can relog to defens but i think the meaning of this idea is to make ns a never ending battle.

Figure u raid sleeth and u see Multiple guardians from dcn and kst toons standing there in all there glory ready to attack u ...

Its just like making a boss but ionstead of having to test them over and over again the toon has already been made to work...

Mabey another twist could be to make the toon drop there gear with a very low percent scale to make raiding even better .

It would give more incentive to raid as well for gear and just to get the enimys guard down while u get ready to go gather them relics.

this has been posted before but i can't find it.
the concensus was that a PC with the AI in charge would be nearly effortless. most characters are built with nice ability combos (cleric/rogue with darkness and sneaks as a small example), but the AI won't know to use them. unless they're a big dumb tank it'll probably be a bust, and devs can make big dumb tanks themselves.

At least it's a form of donating to your faction. Donations of deleted characters could add one more "guard" type to the spawn of an area. I knows guards are ranked from the "weaker" kind to the "harder" kind (excluding bosses). Character deletions of certain levels will add another guard of the appropriate type to the spawn pool (is there such a thing?).

Careful how automated this becomes, some noob could delete a bunch of level 1 toon's then your city is in for some real peril.
