DONT PANIC ! this is in no way hostile or critical !!!! just an idea :P
...and dont turn it into somthing hostile either doggammit !

yes... this topic has been beaten to pulp...and i remember this specific example being mentioned --somewhere but i couldnt find it, nor do i recall if it was overlooked, ignored or just considered but denied...so anyay here it goes:

Proposal in plain english :

Your relic should be the last one to be taken from your cradel.

---think of it this way if it helps--- your home relic is YOUR relic, it is not an enemies relic. your relic hypothetically speaking, has a strong attraction to your cradle because it is its home....therefore the cradle should be viewed as a sort of stronghold made up of a quasi-stack of relics....your relic is closest to the core of your cradle thus other relics that you capture would be placed on top of your relic as "meat shields" to defend your home relic with. when an enemy capps your cradle they : 1: should be able to cap their relic back first (if it is there) which i believe is already the case --- and 2: should have to capture all of the relics in a cradle before being able to capp the relic of the faction that the cradle belongs to.

example....just today... less than an hour ago auctually after an initial failed attempt of the LA capping the MA relic (to retrieve our relic back), i soloed it and managed to cap it myself...running back to LA with my relic and returning it to its proper location ....only to have my relic stolen out of my cradle shortly afterwards which had 4 other relics in it including my own ---

so .... I see this as a benifit to everyone.... how frustrating is it to have relics that you arent getting a bonus for ?

Disclaimer: there are no if ands or buts here---this is no subliminal message here - this is not a bash at the system, nor is it directed to anyone/ any faction...i know that LA isnt the only faction to have been affected by this.... I am just looking for agrees/disagrees on this one, hopeflly to sway the dev's to make a change if majority rules... thx guys :) .

Heya Fatzo.

I totally understand your perspective on this, there are plenty of players out there who probably agree.

However, I always felt that it was really cool that you could handicap a relic bonus from a faction who are controlling the majority of the relics. basically just like it happened to you.

Consider a faction with all 7 relics. A well planned attack by 2 players of the same faction could effectively stop thier gluttonous xp gathering in it's tracks.

So basically the idea was that if you go after a faction you shouldn't have to steal from them 6 times in order to tak e thier bonus. Why defend if you're only going to lose 15% of a 50% bonus? This way if someone comes for your relics you better start caring quickly.

Thx zing. I can see your point clearly and it does cater overall to everyone even the smaller factions giving them a chance to mess with the larger ones even with 2 players- as u said.

aye; u got me here u seem to have the most balanced setup in place as is :P

I happen to disagree when 2 players can spoil the fun of a much larger group.

And 2 players stealing 2 relics from a larger faction are more likly to be allowed to keep them if the larger faction gets to keep there bonus.

I would like to suggest that your concept does not take into account retaliation and discourages smaller groups as the larger will always defend and kick some ar$e. In the time that the relics have been in place I have not yet seen the current setup benefit the smaller groups.

I think while the current method is logical it doesn't account for human reaction to the difference between a small lose and a big one.

Why not experiment for a period of 1 week on each setting to see if it should be set at 1st out (after attacking faction relic) last out, or random (maybe even reverse order) like all other relics.

honestly..relics are just supposed to be a side item so don't even worry about how they are set up. just enjoy them while you have them and kill anyone who tries to take yours specifically.
if i didn't do it...someone else would have.

aye as i said it was a suggestion, not a critique or dissagreement, but zing is right in his responce to my initial post... and it is the fairest setup for all players... but again ty for feedback.

red-mane i see your point and i agree with it, but it does apply to all factions, the SL or AO can get screwed just as easily as the LA could in this matter, but again refering to what zing said, it does allow for sipteful actions...as much as i hate when it happens to me...i strive to do it to my enemies :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

and, DD1 speaks the truth :wink:

i have a problem solving flowchart that i will not post b/c it is innapropriate, however its theme is -- if it works dont ("mess") with it.
