Spitting Fire Beetles
Just curious why Spitting Fire Beetles have half the CR of normal firs beetles when they are twice as hard....

Because the module was originally written with just NWN + SoU; the drider model appears in HotU. It would be nice to see it updated to the drider model (and that really shouldn't take long), but it's hardly critical.

True, even low-level wizards get some ray of frosts in that work quite well against 2 hp rats (minimum 2 damage). A lot of resting of course, but lowbies must do that anyway to heal. On the plus side for wizzys, low-level melees must succeed a roll to hit while wizzys got no spell resistance to worry about.

Yes and let me tell you missing a rat or a chicken 6 or 7 times in a row isnt very fun! Bad rolls ftlP.
