Special Jobs

Post by P. Fricebottle »

[listI think that there should be a third job thats exclusively for a certain class in each faction. As there has been a recent idea for a cleric job in Shadow Legion that gives a great whip. I think every faction should have a special job like this to attract players.[/list]Last Alliance-I find it strange that LA be the faction most interested in reversing the rift shards has basically no mages at all to do it (ghaeles are more of fighting mages). I think the special job here should be for wizards. A "Rift Sage" job, one where you actually search for the secrets in the rifts as described in the Epic Quest for Last Allaince. I think wizard would be perfect for this job, as they are loremasters and would be most able to find the answers. I think the way to gain job points should be like the messenger job but not a Regional quest but Factional. To gain points you must find a stray rift shard (example: Gnolls) and take a "sample" of it so to speak and bring it back to your faction (without dying and losing it of course) for experimenting. Then level 2 and 3 you take samples from enemy faction shards. Benefits should be along the lines as +4 lore 1st level, +2 2nd, +2 3rd, and Master you get a Legend Lore Feat (or just a helmet) and a +1 to your intelligence.
  • Northern Coalition-Paladin of course, and the job should be "Crusader". Considering that NC finds all factions (besides the circle) basically evil or chaotic, and hating some more than others, this should be the job. To gain job points you will have to kill the undead boss in Daeron (I've never been NC, so I'm not exactly sure if there is one but I think there is) for level 1. Then level 2 you kill Tieflings and Golems in MA for about 30-50 job points or so. Level 3 you must kill the dragons of AO. Benefits would be level 1 +4 to discipline, +2 in level 2 and you get a "prayer" item with the bonus of aid and bless of course. Level 3 +2 discipline and the token has prayer, aid, and bless. Master level you get +2 discipline, +1 charisma, and the token has prayer, aid, bless, and protection against evil [for all the levels the token may be used once per day for each action (one aid per day, one bless per day, etc.)].
Shadow Legion-Cleric job, "Priestess of Lloth". To gain job points you must capture enemies with dominate, bring them back to the temple where you sacrifice them. Benefits for level 1 +1 Attack Bonus vs. Lawful, and for level 2 it goes up to +2, etc. At master level you attain the whip which will be the best whip in the game, whatever the DMs decide to put on it I guess (or however it was in the book, I never read it :| ).
  • Mystral Ascendancy-"Pro Rogue", rogue class. For job points you must pickpocket guards and bring back the stolen loot to MA. The job points given depend on the difficulty of the guards, like Evenshire guard loot get 5 or 10 job points where guards from the The Circle give like 30. Benefits would be rogue based, +4 to hide and move silently level 1, level 2 +2, etc. At master level you attain a bonus 1d6 that stacks onto current sneak attack.
    • Ancient Ones-Bard, "Draconic Bard" or something. You must be at least 21 levels of bard (an epic bard :D ). For job points you must attain items of lore, ancient harps, etc. found on bosses. Level 1 gives +4 to perform, +2 perform 2nd, +2 again level 3, and master level +2 with a Dragon Harp (has tons of bardic spells, and may be used 5 times per day).
      • Ragnar's Kin-Fighter, "Master Skullcracker". I'm sorry, but all dwarf races are favored class fighter. Points are given from killing drow city guards and bringing back a piece of their corpse. Benefits AB and AC vs Elf level 1, another +1 level 2, etc. At master level they attain that Magic Mug Celorn did :D .
The Circle-Ranger, "Horizon Walker". I couldn't think of anything for druid. A horizon walker gets job points for going to extreme places [Ice Efreets, Bottom of Ash Mountains, Unkown Evil, etc. (not places like the mountain or ice giants but still points for the area with Lord Grezor)]. Benefits would be +1 Attack Bonus and AC, another +1 level 2, another level 3, and at master level they attain a better bow than the Ice Bow that also has "One With the Land" on it. Maybe this will encourage more people to go to this faction.
      • Yeah...these paragraphs are confusing... :|
