A few ideas

Post by Omega »

1) I'd like to be able to buy the gear that my faction (and allies) bosses drop.
As of right now (from an RP standpoint) if I'm a Dwarf & I want to use Lagnar's Hammer I have to either kill my faction boss and become an outcast or trade with an enemy of my people.

2) I think that the Durenna Peak caves should be re-populated with Winter Wolves (if their xp can be fixed).

3) I'd alsolike to see DM sets implimented.

4) Lastly, it's no mystery that it's hard to hit 40 (some say impossible) & I'm just curious as to whether or not Lost Realm or other epic areas are in the works.

Not sure about the other stuff, but:

From a "RP standpoint", isn't it poor form to be coveting your leaders shiny things? It'd be a bit like Galihad wanting to bump off Arthur for Excalibure.

You can tell I'm not big on PvP power gaming eh?

This wont happen, there wont be items put in that will not drop from NPCs (except dyes). Something like we had on old ns3 south wont come back.

Man I wish we had dies. We can taylor our own outfits, but we can't choose their colour!

I would be soo happy if dies were to suddenly appear in Avendel shops.

Please...

What would be interesting is if there were random spawns that dropped rare items. Like a dragon that spawned at random times in random areas, was impossible to solo, and dropped some random/rare item.

Hmmm...

Well, I do know that they were discussing at least making some of the more standard armours and such available in your factions shops.

But, for the higher level boss equipment... I don't think that buying is the way to go. It seems to me that his would be a perfect opportunity for job/quest scripting.

And it could as simple as a head retrieval kind of thing. Given how much dwarves hate elves and drow in particular a trip to Menzo to retrieve the heads of all the heads of the different houses... And only droppable when someone is actually working on the quest. This would help minimize trading of heads by people not persuing the quest.

Oh there are dyes (how do you think the Brethren got their gold and black armor?), but the DMs have to give them out. I don't know exactly what the procedure is, but I was told recently only certain DMs give out dyes. I think the reason we have them is because we're a guild, but they were given to us before I took over, so I don't know all the details (it would be interesting if the other guilds adopted guild colors and got dyes too, no reason we should have all the fun).

So those are dyes huh? I've seen some of those people, but I thought it was some new Sunken equipment, since many of them were wearing what looked like Highlord Celestial helms.

Would it make sense to be able to craft dies? Leather dies if your a tanner, Metal dies if your an armour smith etc.

Ah, well the only Highlord Helm I've ever seen looked like it was black and white. So maybe it was spoils of war. Haven't really been to Sunken myself, since none of my characters can survive there, and I've been concentrating more on building up crafters instead of power builds.

i have a very cool tiger stripe tag helm and a neato lag helm on my shifter....the lag helm is white except the face and the entire thing is black which makes him look faceless. crafting dyes would be cool. crafting for respective skills and such.

There is also an armour drop in Sleeth called Black Dragon Armor. That is black on black as well. Full plate, +3 AC (+4 vs. Dragon), typical level 16 slash/acid percentages, and two other stats I don't recall offhand.
