Crafting Items

Not be able to use something you've made seems rather silly, doesn't it?
Level 8, but can't use my Crafted Gold Staff that I made with the same level 8 character.

Yea that does seem rather odd. I mean if you don't have the proficiency I'd understand, but it's a staff, everyone but a really short person can use that, x_X

(However I don't see why gnomes and halflings can't make smaller staves to use)

In my experience (at least at lower levels) you can attain the crafting level one level before the character level when you can use it. I don't know how this works with multi-class characters, however. Can someone explain that, please? Like, for example, what's the max martial crafting level a ftr4/rogue12/sd4 could attain?

It should be good if we could find some more information about the crafting. Like a little topic where u can find what kind of gear you craft exactly on what craftskill and the statistics from that gear in all lvl's of crafting. So you have an idea of what you gonna craft.
