Man jsut when I thought I was gonna get some sleep.... OK how about this...

Lets say that Termie has bound to NC HQ and is attacking NC HQ Actual. Ya that sucks... getting past that >

Coming up with a formula of the number of deaths in a certain amount of time over a certain amount of PK's a fail safe system kicks in and boots you, or gives you the option of being bound at your O.G. (original) shard and or closest Allie Occupide Shard!

This allows for two things... Termies + VagaStorm's idea of A) not being allowed to bind to hostile shards or B) having ever fluid teritory (sorta).


Soo time for an example:

Kurth|NC| logs in at lvl 19.... is vastly underpowerd and is dumb enough to venture into dwarven terratory and bind to their HQ shard.

He then dies a load of times and after the server anylizes the data finds that he got pwned 20 times in 5 minutes with only pwning 1 NPC guard.

The server then says, "WTF? Mate OMG!! why in the world are you here!?!?!?!111" and then boots / gives me the option to bind and then, "Come Back to Life!" (FLCL) and then go on my marry way!

Example #2:

Termie attacks and binds to NC HQ Shard and starts killing NC Actual... well shoot now the NC is without needed quest NPC's etc. but he gets pwned a bunch, but dshes out a load of pwning! Soooo the server then says this is a missmatch and does the same thing to Termie it did to Kurth....


Now for Example #3:

CLAD and termie are fighting like the dickens over a shard point. For a time Termie is losing the battle and CLAD keeps Outpost #1 (man I wish I remembered my zone names) and Termie dies enough to kick in the coding and is bla bla bla to a friendly shard... Termie then comes back with heavy reinforcements (which face it man... really its over kill...) and CLAD gets Pwned to the point the script steps in and sends all the CLAD's Back to a friendly shard and then well guess what! Termie and corp. has aquired a shard and has laied claim to it for the leader of his parties factions and or allies....

example #3 relies on a few changes... A) that chars must spawn at the closest shard in order to be forced to take refuge at another shard within the closest proxie to the place of death or captured shard where battle took place. B) that the some sort of ballancing system be used to keep one side from pwning the other for a long drawn out period of time (shoot look at Blizes model.. its still blows my mind!? I mean how do they keep complete domination from happening) and then last but not least C) instagate fulll server wide PVP / PKing with anit greefing system (maybe an aplaud vs. smite that would in teh end effect standing within alliance... hrmmm I have seen or heard that somewhere b4)( and ohh ya full server(s) wide PVP / PKing is already implemented... haha well that makes my point easier ^_^)


OMG time for sleep.... night all!


P.S. the pwned vs. pwning thing was to be another aspect of the code... like pwned - pwning = net pwnage sooo (Time / Net Pwnage = IF THEN statement peramiters?) Shoot IDK its late lol time for sleep!

FYI: no I do not think Bliz is l33ter than NS... I just think they made a good model to follow that can be used on the macro and micro lvls... and well... ya... I'm a Tool... *sniff sniff*

Moved to appropriate forum...
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer
