New Player Questions

Hey everyone. I found ns4 the other day and decided to try it out.

I saw on these boards that there had been a recent wipe, so it seemed like a perfect time to start some toons on a new server.

Then I started reading more and more and have come to partially understand the frustration people seem to be feeling with the progress (or lack) of this module.

My question is, with so many people leaving the server, no clear word on update progress and future outlook, is it worth it for me to invest my time here?

Off the top, this world seems like it has soooo much to offer. There are so many custom scripts and custom content, it is making my usual PWs look kinda weak, but then again its making the devs and dms of my usual pws look like rock stars for their attention and dedication.

So, does any1 have an opinion? Would it be better to play on NS3 and wait and see what happens with ns4? Or, is there a date that i've missed when this thing will move out of beta? I just don't want to put countless hours into a server that will fizzle in the end.

Pretty much impossible to answer your question. For a new player, there's probably enough content here to keep you amused for a few months at least, even without any more updates. But, I think there will be updates at some point, but there are probably those that disagree with me....
Anyway, if you play for 3-5 months and have fun with it, is it a loss?
