Arrows
I think that playing an archer is a fun way to play the game, you have to run a lot since you're not a tank, and have various battle options. It just makes fighting more fun and more challenging.
However, I'm a bit diappointed about the disadvantages of archers vs melee builds without many benefits:
An archer needs ammo, once your attacks/round go up, you go through arrows like a knife through butter. Arrows are expensive. They cost gold, and they cost xp (if you craft them, if not, they cost even more gold). And, even if you fill a full tab sheet with arrows, you find yourself running out of them when you're far away from any civilization and grouped with a nice party on a terrific raid you are enjoying a lot. Also, arrows take a lot of space in your inventory.
And no fighter has to continuously pay to keep his sword working. A caster can just rest in the field to get his "ammo" back. Only archers are running out of ammo, have to pay gold for ammo, "lose" xp when using their weapon. Kinda unfair.
I think this is rather annoying, to improve the situation at least a little bit, I'd suggest the following changes:
- make arrows craftable en route, so you don't have to stay near towns and return every so often; a little bit like crafting traps en route
- make crafting on arrows less expensive xp-wise, it sucks that you have to give back so much xp in order to keep being able to kill stuff. What would melee chars say if every swing of their sword costs more than 1 point of xp and slowly uses up the sword? Archers are already on a disadvantage compared to melee builds (who can better factor in strength into their damage in addition to item dependant damage increase like gloves who increase your damage), why punish them even more with arrow management being such an annoyance?

This should be slightly less of a problem if ammo spawns have been increased. But yeah, ammo is still not that great around here, and only arrows have any options to speak of. Even then, the drops have been fairly light, with only the ice giant arrows dropping on a semi regular basis.
