Dragon Attendant job progression

Hi

I just started beta testing NS4 and began with the Ancient ones.

I took all the jobs as far as I could and appreciate what they were trying to accomplish.

I already browsed the forums some to try and avoid double posting on a subject. I saw that the monotony(sp) of the exterminator job has already been addressed by some players and hopefully will be rectified in the future, even though it did provide my character with a nice stash of gold when I was finished.

I found a bug and reported it involving the job switching when two jobs are mastered.

I have a sudgestion on the job of Dragon Attendant. I realize that it is unfinished but I see great potential in this job.

My sudgestion:

1. After you complete the initial job with the bronze dragon you are given a choice to be in the service of one of 4 dragons, each with a specific theme. The dragons give tasks based on thier respective themes (melee, stealth, arcane magic, or divine magic)

2. You remain in service of your dragon of choice until your character becomes epic and the lord dragon in the black citidel(sp) takes you from your chosen dragon and places you in direct service to him in a power play to consolidate power and limit the strength of the dragons who serve under him. During this time you perform quests that run the same theme as your dragon, being rewarded for service according to the same theme. This would keep the fighter from being rewared a charisma+ or the wizard a strength+.

3. Endgame quests are rewarded by the Lord Dragon himself, but the diffiuclty being governed by your character level to keep a lvl 20 from being stuck with a lvl 40 quest.

4. A bonding between Dragon Master and Dragon Attendant would also be neat so you wouldn't have to walk all the way back to your dragon and could recieve orders telepathicly instead. This could also be beautifully implemented in the story arcs as well. ie: Your dragon tells you to travel to the gates of some town and wait for further instructions. You arive and are given orders to slay an elf in a house in the back of the village and retrieve an artifact using stealth to avoid the guards via telepathy from your dragon. This would also alleviate some problem people seem to be expressing about the uniform. Maybe an item with a special power that opens a telepathic link

The game looks and plays great so far and I just want to say I appreciate all the hard work that countless people have put into this world.

That's an interesting idea. Along those same lines, what other quests would people like to see for the Ancient ones?

Dragons horde magical treasure by nature so quests to recover artifacts and riches for their hordes seems like it should be in order.

Placing 3 underground slave complexes accessable from each of the slave pits and have the slavemaster request that you put down an uprising by dispatching an outspoken leader in one of the three underground pit complexes at random.

I think all quest should slowly branch you outward from your starting city and have storyarcs that encompass the entire map eventually.

Quests like, "We have recieved word that faction "X" is trying to set up an outpost at Location "X", time is of the essence, speak to me when you are ready and I will teleport you there. (Teleportation to make an "instanced" zone that would give you the feel of fighting the other factions continually but avoid constantly griefing their towns) Maybe have it set up so players of similar levels that belong to the opposing faction could be brought there to defend by their respecive NPC
