Parry mode is, and has always been as far as I am aware, quite broken. Regardless of how many attacks you have, you can only make 3 parry/ripostes per round.
Perhaps (if it is possible) parry mode could be enhanced to give an AC bonus similar to tumble? For every 5 ranks in parry the character would recieve +1 deflection AC but only while in parry mode. So a character who sinks 40 points into parry would get +8 deflection AC while in parry mode to help make up for the fact that only 3 parry/ripostes are possible.
Mages and sorcerors can get deflection AC from Shield (+4), Mage Armour (+1) or Epic Mage Armour (+5). Clerics can get deflection AC from Shield of Faith (+3 - +5). Everyone else is limited to only +3 from items. A parry mode deflection AC bonus would provide a way for the other classes to boost their deflection AC. The trade off is pretty big, you can have at most 3 attacks per round while in parry mode assuming you beat the opposing attack roll by at least 10 on every parry attempt. This seems pretty fair to me.

The whole point of parry is that you stop their attacks form hitting you, not how many counter-attacks you get. I built a parry char on a server dedicated to teh cheese (Items whith NWN prices in the 10 million - 1 billion price range)
Know what? Even with ABs of 70 or higher, melee chars rarely were able to hit a char with an AC of only 40. The counter attacks are a bonus to the ability to stop melee attacks from hitting yourself, not the other way around.

Think you are lazy?
I once coded a 1300+ line library in C++ to avoid having to write 200 lines of code.
Bringing laziness to a whole new level

What I was saying that even if you go for parry with 2 weapons (hence 6 attacks) you only get 3 parry attempts per round. The number of ripostes is not supposed to be limited either. If you have 6 attacks you should be able to make 6 parry attempts and potentially get 6 riposte attacks. As things stand at the moment this is not the case.
The suggestion of a deflection AC bonus is to make up for the fact that after 3 parries you stand around like a stunned mullet for the rest of the round even though you should have more parry attempts left.

You get to attempt to block as many attacks for as many attacks that you get.
However it's capped at 3/enemy.
Got 2 enemies attacking you? You'll get to us 6 parry attempts (if you 6 attacks that is).
Any thoughts on giving a +1 dodge bonus / 5 parry points invested? Or should it be defelection or natural?
