There HAS to be some way for characters to return to good favor with a faction... i dont care about changing factions... but at least returning to good favor...
I have found that any guild based from any city will have problems defending it - Especially if they use any kind of area effecting spells and such....
And if a PC is dominated and becomes enemy and you attack then ALL the gaurds turn on you!
I say maybe a donation of 500k or something to Elvin in another city and he will talk to the leader and the leader could change your status back to peace with your given faction... Either that or once you kill and enemy guard... or 5 enemy gaurds... once you do something you need to be at peace with them.
Hell even just a time limit to a factions hostilities toward you - say 24 hours real life since you were last in the city... then player could be in "hiding" and once its blown over you can return
Whatever you do, this is important for any sort of RP or group play when it comes to actually defending your home town.... Us CLAD have already had a member "banished" from Daeron because of a similar situation...

{CLAD} Arcane the Crusader kindly asks to be allowed back into Daeron. I am currently residing in the outcast villiage of Avendell as a result of my banishment. The details of events are in the guild post.
Thanks for your concern, Will.

But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer
