Factions/Jobs/Epic Idea - kinda involves all

Just an idea.... not sure what everyone will think of it

Something Ive noticed of course is how easy the gaurds are to kill by anyone level 10 and above... And how cities play no part in characters etc. except for the shops after reaching around level 10 - 15 or so... and after 13 all its for is iding and selling stuff.

SO I know the ideas of Epic Areas and everything is talked about alot...
But so far they sound like there is nothing particularly different about the ideas other then just having harder monsters...

So this idea came to me while I was playing and just chatting with other players...

I was thinkin after a character reaches a certain level - say 20 maybe 25... then he/she is automatically removed from the faction system - either by making them nuetral to all of them... Then depending either on their class - or you could do it by alignmnet - you could have several "Gods" that call them through the rift portal to a hidden realm (just a screen for each god)...

These "Gods" could be like their jobmaster / progress reviewer / award giver types that give them quests that involve more then just talking to 10 guards and returning.

Ideas for Gods
Good could be Angel type, powerful paladin/cleric/fighter type

Neutral could be Mother earth - master of sneaking and ranged attacks etc...

Evil could be Devil type - powerful spells death magic etc.

AND THEN - you could IF YOU WANTED - have the 3 factions fight against each other - and the jobs and such could be oriented in a way that would make sense for the person playing that side... (good could be bring back 10 demon heads etc. bad could be bring back 10 angel heads get a extra feat for completing only allowed once or something)

To get back to the assigned god you could have the Gods give the character a piece of the rift stone... he activates it each time and can send his spirit to the chosen realm.

It would take alot of work to integrate it... but it would place a storyline and a reason for epic areas, give higher level jobs, allow for further rewards characters could get, and more plotline that would be exciting as hell...

If you really wanted you could find a way to make RANKS in each of the new factions instead of levels - maybe even eventually you could be command other players ... a level 35 whod been fighting evil for a while could get assigned a level 25 recuit type loll...

Thats another thing it would allow for hireable mercaneries... Maybe every 5 ranks in the job you could hire another angel/deamon/mothernature creature and build an army that followed you around as you progressed levels...

Would give yet another reason to excite players...

This would be cool for epic areas. A lot of this requires more "God" interaction and as of yet, i haven't seen any events. But these kind of events and world changes would be the bomb!!!

I posted some of this for pre epic stuff, look at those posts for that, but this sounds solid for the post epic character

Sure this is a good idea... if u want to build an entirely new mod.
