Errr.. Rust Monster Idea

Maybe i'm just a little annoyed after logging in dead for no reason( xp loss) and after getting an xp loss for a pk(randomly ran into someone, was killed by straight dmg by that person's weapon, not planar or anything like that), and in between, losing an imbued mithril rapier. But i've decided to post here about it.

I mean, maybe the xp loss to pk is serverwide, or a one time bug. I don't really care too much about it or the first xp loss upon login. It sucks, but i can get past it.

But rust monsters rusting an imbued mithril item in one hit? What's wrong with this picture? Maybe if it was a super rust monster queen bee thing, with a cr higher than 1, i could understand, but really...

That's my view on the subject. I just don't see the logic in a low lvl critter rusting away magical items, or am i alone in that thought?

Was that my Imbued Mithril Rapier you lost?

As for rust monster, RUN! Unless you can get them form range.

?? Your's? Dunno, was just a random one. And now after losing one to a disarm earlier, i'm running low, so....

Besides that, yeah, i never thought it'd rust things, as i haven't had probs in the past with them, so i was dumb and didn't want to waste precious arrows(since i don't feel like running around to craft more arrows in melencia or wherever)

Well no worries then, next time you'll know not to melee the little buggers, I'd rather have to suffer respawn penalties than lose some of the gear I have.

Heh, well for me i can get the xp back now in about 5 mins, but the weapon will take maybe a week to replace(although i was very lucky today and was gifted one) under normal conditions.
