The ability to delete characters.

I like to create all sorts of characters and now my unwanted creations are taking up space in the servervault.

One I can't even play for some reason and all I get is a black screen (logged out at ambassador area on startup, so maybe that has something to do with it).

Another I had to give up when I discovered Circle members couldn't be fighters when I tried multiclassing from bard to fighter (go figure).

So someway to delete characters would be appreciated for those who want to clear space.

The last time this came it they said it was a database issue.

I would like to be able to delete my characters as well.

I've seen this in Soulforge.

You talk to an NPC who gives you a code. You then go to the website, type in the code and access your vault, you then qeue your deletions/etc. Usually it is taken care of by the next server reset.

It's definitely possible, that's for sure.

In the future (but before we're playing NWN on the holodeck) we'll have a feature to delete unwanted characters.

The problem with just deleting characters for us is also handling the database information as well. First things first though.

Doesn't mySQL support "On Delete Cascade" ? The only trick should be getting the button in NWN to fire the actual delete statement on the player table. The DB Engine should handle all of the rest of it.
