I was wondering if the PoPE had an access to the illithid merchant in the nexus shop?
And the suggestion: It would be nice if this plane could be linked to another like the other planes. Existing links (inkluding through Nexi):PoNE(negative)-HoD-Shadow-DWP-Earth-Dwarfhome-Fire; Dwarfhome-Water-Forest-Air-Dragon Eyre
That is why I would suggest to link it to Dragon Eyre? (Ah, yes forgot that place has to be reached specially with gathering items...) Then maybe Air or Fire?

Re: PoPE (Plane of Positive Energy)
I see nothing wrong with providing a portal from the White Lord's haven to Dragon Eryie. Again getting a party to the White Lord is no cake walk. Suppose your only objective was to get to Dragon Plane and you had two choices:
1. Run all the way through Posi Plane and through the White Lord's Room and hit a portal that dumps you into a well spawned area of Dragon Eryie where it is hard to rest?? Ouch.
- or
2. Just to go kill the three dragons required and go through the front door to Dragon Plane.
I think I'd pick the latter. Because really the only feasible way to take option one would be to link up with a party who had already cleared the destination map. If a party is trying to access Dragon Plane from Posi they will almost certainly have to clear the White Lord's map. or they'll spend an hour scrambling anyway.
So my thought is that if the link is from a hard spot (in Posi) to a hard spot in Dragon then why not? I'd suggest that the portal be one way though. You wouldn't want parties who are working Dragon Plane thinking, "Hey! Let's pop in a ruin the White Lord's day right quick!"
A one way portal from Dragon to Posi could exist from one of the Dragon bosses to a havoc filled locale in Posi. Again since they are one way they are dicey with a party unless you clear the 'departure' screen.
Alas, The answer to my proposal and yours though, No Dev Time. And especially not for luxuries. A shame too cuz Dragon and Posi are my two favorite places to go.

Why thwart the quest seeking goodness of finding the components to even open the area to begin with. Seems counterproductive to me. And what correlation exists between Positive and Dragons to explain a connection? Positive would have more of a connection to Negative since they are opposing/conflicting powers.

Re: PoPE (Plane of Positive Energy)
Linking stuff is a one minute job. The question is should we?
Linux and I were separately thinking about a crosser from fire to somewhere in Eyrie, but someone talked us out of it
Also Fire is one of the easiest planes with no current Nexus opening I know of, so could probably use a direct link from somewhere (NC nexus has something reserved for it that is on the soon list) in the main realm.
There's also another way past the gates to Dragon Eyrie.

There is one from south road.
Well let's hope the new plane will connect NC a bit to other planes. Just right now it is a bit isolated.

Re: PoPE (Plane of Positive Energy)
I'm a firm believer in the fact that Lokey and Linux and tricky bastards (and I mean that as a compliment). So, I think that the footsteps besides the entrance to the Eyrie means something. Of course, I have yet to level a toon with the search skill, so I wouldn't know.

Re: PoPE (Plane of Positive Energy)
Many of the maps in Dragon Eyrie were originally designed by NS3 folks and were incorporated by Zing... actually some of the ideas also came from All American too (where is he?). Zing put the two dragon statues in... one requiring three elements of dragons and the other requiring something else to gain entrance. When I got to work on putting things together I wanted to keep Zing's work with the statues... its unique and cool. Adding another entrance would steal some of the uniqueness of the area.
