Hellball and PvP

I am assuming that hellball is one of those use at your own risk and dont be a moron spells but is there a way we can stop the xp loss if your own hellball blows you up. I dont normally use it till i am almost dead or someone is running away but i lost a lvl tonight and a ton of cash because i didnt realise that it causes xp/gold loss.

I can attest that Legion lost xp due to hellball from Ignignokt. Upon respawn he even lost his 40th lvl, might be nice to get him the xp back, if he didnt get it already back, slaughtering those poor dwarfs .

You also lose xp if you accidentally greater ruin yourself. So, the only safe way to kill yourself is Death Express.. Oops, guess not.

Heh, he hellballed himself? Now that I could have told him, that he would loose xp. It's the same when a druid casts doom, and he or she dies to it.

its always been like this in all servers....kill yourself with a spell or ability that you personally cast, and you lose xp. suicide, accidental or not, i guess isnt free
