Is it possible to split shout up so you can choose to get server messages and not the regular annoying shout crap?
I put the IO in socIOpath!

Not currently. There maybe something in 1.69 when it is finally released.

I feel your pain.. Oh but then I can do something about it too when in game. :mrgreen:

just turn off shout...you don't need it anyway

I've implemented a system for 1.69 that will allow DMs to silence shout on a player for specified amounts of time (like say 18 minutes). Additionally, a DM will be able to disable shout globally on the server if they feel the need. This should hopefully solve some of the problems we've had.

As far as ignoring other player's messages, that *could* be done with whispers, shouts, talk, and party chat, but not tells... OnPlayerChat does not capture those events... tells may be using a straight peer-to-peer protocol instead of going through the server like all the other messages so....

...the rule will remain that if a player asks another player to not send messages of any kind (whisper, shout, tell, etc.) and that request is not respected, it will be considered harassment.

That's awesome...I just wish they could get the translations done and get the patch out. :(
