Psionics???

Okay, I am a huge fan of Psionics, and PRC has a pretty good system. What is stoipping NS4 from adding the PRC classes to the world? Lemme know, because I would love to see psionics, and plan to stick around for a long while.

NS4 does not support any hak packs, and probably will never in the future.

Though I'll admit psionics are fun I'm a big fan of the mind blade

One would think that in the waning days of dial-up that thoughts of using a hak-pak would be considered. Especially considering the flexibility one has in dealing with some "broken" features that cannot otherwise be "fixed" without the hak-pak.
Has the staff been able to figure out where the line in the sand is?
It seems that the term diminishing returns might apply to this situation.

I would just ask NS4 to be very carefull in assuming dial-up is wanning , i mean sure perhaps in the U.S it may be and other places where you guys get rather cheaps access. Here in Australia atm its not so wanning. Personally im still on dial-up for 1 reason - its way cheaper. I am paying under 20 aussie dollars a month and i can have it on 24/7 and thats all ill pay, completely unlimited downloads. To get that on ADSL here is like $60 a month last time i checked - from one of the "reliable" providers.

I dont know how it is in other locations around the world, but for me that extra $40 is VERY hard to find with 4 kids all at school a minivan to keep going at $1.50 a litre for petrol etc etc etc. the beauty of this server is not only how awesome it is to play, but the fact its open for all with no Hak-PAk needed just strait out of the box.

as it is there talking 350 + megabites for me to download 1.69 will take me an overnight download while im asleep lol - but it will be worth it.

ns4 will remain a non download/hack pack mod for many months to come...regardless of who has dial up or broadband.

I didn't know haks were that big of a deal. I have BB, but I didn't realize that Dial Up still was that slow of download speed............ I thought it was DSL, BB, or T2 connection............ wierd. Okays, just a wish, and this is the suggestions/ ideas page. Just an idea I had.

Indeed, from knowing people who have had dial-up in remote places I have to say that is one of the best things about NS. Granted I like hak packs just as much as the next person, but I really like the fact that the server is accessible to those who do not have access to broadband. I think it is a good choice to stay the course. I think that is one area that needs no nerfing.

Well I don't wanna screw with anyone's accessability, but seriously, my mom doesn't play any where that doesn't have Haks, neither will my dad. My sister plays a Soul Knife/ Assassin..... sooooo I'm pretty sure haks would only attract more attention, and a larger fan base to the Reflections server.

search for a new server then, In my exp is crimson sands or like that under pw action and it has psionics, but no one is there. Good Luck.

As if there isn't enough unique scripting in NS-4. I appreciate being able to play a server that doesn;t need a bunch of hacks. Yes some hacks are nice and add flavor but once there is a problem or a conflict it's 10x worse to try and sort through for the devs to find the problem and fix it.

I'll take a clean server, that is fun to play, has good people, good content in game over one that has a whole mess of hacks any day.

I it was just an idea, no need to get hostile. I had no idea it was that big of a mess to add haks. I like NS4 and yeah the scripting is remarkable, but it's ideas that pose the question some times "What if we could make it that much better?" some times lead to new discoveries that indeed bring about something really cool.
