If it is 300 exp for killing someone at your level, that isn't enough incentive to go spend an hour trying to hunt someone down in DE or something. It would still be far more efficient and faster for both parties to team up and kill monsters. On the other hand, it is incentive to raid and defend because there is much more killing happening and people won't feel like they are losing out on exp by logging to attack or defend.
I guess you'd have to watch out for exploits, too - groups killing each other repeatedly for easy XP.

In my experience, clueless newbies try to pk ME - the last couple of toons I levelled on the mountain have been attacked by someone I'd never met (or didn't recognize), and afterwards it was "What level are you? Party?" No harm done.

I almost never see DD leveling, but game on :)

Yeah, I thought about that too. I'm not sure what the devs are planning, but at least with PK notify blatant abuse is easily noticeable by the general server population.

I ran out of interesting SL toons to build... but this shapechange thing could change that! My first build after the last wipe was based on shapechange balor, but it ended up getting nerfed with the shifter changes of the time (weapon type was changed from greatsword to bsword, rendering my weapon feats useless). I'm sure I'll take another stab at it.

If there's a clueless newbie on the mountain are you going to invite him into your party, take time to show him the ropes and let him roll against you for books or are you going to just kill him for XP along with all the ogres?
It depends, is he a literal new player, or is he some CLAD goodie two shoes

We don't work that way on our side of town

DD would never embrace a newbie. That's what the tree huggers are for. Kill everything, and those of like mind and shared values will come to us in in their own time... but not too soon. If you try to go evil too soon, we'll just hand you off to MADD or IO
