Also, why only have drops on cr40 mobs? This just guarantees that you will never be able to find a +4 book on your own and will need to roll for every one that IS found, ultimately reducing your chances of actually owning one.
Our Farmer, Higgy finds +4 books all by himself.... lvl 33 poorly build Bard... dedicated to farming... you don't need parties to find +4 books...
I totally agree here... Hig has found four +2 books in a single outing several times...My opinion is that the book drop rates, areas, etc. are just fine how they are.
For the most part I agree... however, one major drawback of working in large parties (besides the lag) is that one really learns no fighting techniques.Just basic human psychology: Helping newbies or working together in parties tends to modify people's behavior for the better.
Like a huge swarm of army ants the party rages across the map so fast some can barely keep up learning absolutely nothing about how fight on your own.
Also... with a large group someone always wants to test the limits... Hey! we're getting great xp here, but lets go try the Boss... twill be a challenge... then of course comes the wipe
