i made a pally/cleric/cot..none of these classes offer tumble or dex'r perks, his ac with the good gear for his lvl tops out in the 60's
i made a bard/harper scout...both of these have tumble and he is a pure dex'r, his ac is only 7-8ac better than my heavy smiter but he can't take or give near the hit.....
they both seem kinda balanced.

I really shouldn't add to this fairly pointless thread, but i'm somehow compelled...
seems to me there are 3 major types of character:
monks and wiz/sorcs (medium dex and wis ac)
dexers (super dex ac)
heavies (full plate ac)
i'm sure there are a dozen nuances i'm dismissing, but never mind.
the monks and wiz/sorcs can have great AC but both lose the use of a shield. this is a major problem here where shields have excellent DR and AC, and very importantly allow you to switch resistances mid-combat, which is not possible with only armour or robes.
Incidentally i dispute that arcane casters have 'multiple stacking AC buffs' - most defensive arcane spells are DR based, and the few AC buffs usually don't improve on the AC given by good epic gear.
dexers can use a shield (small if they like for low skill penalty and arcane failure) and have much better AC than a full plater, but for this bonus they must concentrate on their dexterity stat, which usually means neglecting others - strength and casting stats spring to mind. This means that unless they sneak attack (which is far from a universally effective tactic), their damage output will be much lower.
heavies have lower AC than dexers, but they get it for *free*, allowing them to concentrate on either a casting stat or strength for higher damage.
well in all builds there ar etons of stuff u can do.
try using subraces.
u have crap ac go earth gen for lots of dr.
can't hit someone with high ac throw spells at him.
the answers are out there but u have to look for them to find em.
prettymuch that's it.
if u can't bat something y don't u build one and when people kill u u will find out how to kill em.
when I first came to ns I would see people build crazy arse builds and then I would copy them. they when u make the copy build and get owned u find out what beats them.
this also brings it back to the I have 4 years of experience here and even more with dnd.
others have more.
I don't think that since someone is here for like 2 months and gets owned every time he logs on by some experienced vet they should come to the forums and ask for something to be nerfed.
experience is more that what u get from mobs. its also what u learn along the way.
