Though the spell is probably ok the way it is, especially given the times Chase decides to have a spot of fun....

Yup, Find Traps is only supposed to let you see traps like a rogue does and give you a temporary bonus to your Search skill, not wipe out all the nearby traps at once. BioWare probably did it that way so people who weren't playing rogues and didn't bother to mess with henchmen wouldn't get too badly shreede by the traps in the game. IMO, not messing with henchmen in single player is stupid, but OTOH, you could only have 1 until HotU, which sort of limits your options.

In regards to the Find Trap spell again it seems that some ppl think it should be removed why not make it that is works on a DC depending on level of caster and also if they have focus in the right school?
Also in response to Elagneros comment that it is only suposed to let you see the trap.
Yes it is supposed to do this but if you read the description of the spell it says it makes traps known to the caster and disarms them!!!
So as I said b4 maybe instead of removing the spell a DC should be rolled depending on caster lvl and spell focuses.

Why smash down rogues you say. Mages are to powrfull you say? BAH
Because unless you want to cross class a mage the are going to have fu*ck*d pick lock ability compared to a rogue also to powerfull go figure I think any class can be considered overpowering to certain builds and I must say I disagree that mages are to powerfull.
The only way a mage is overpowering to you is if you made a crap build. Or if all you toons are based on taking uber damage and causing but not spells.
Either way you can find a defense to any mage build as you can any melee build just need to work it out!!!
Also yes that is what bioware made it but dont forget you bought the game doesn't that make you just as retarted going by your logic? supporting a "retarted" company hmm

omg! thats just ridiculous! A rouge being able to pick locks better than a mage!? You're definitely right merrip. who in their right mind would want a rogue to be better at rogue skills than a mage? In fact, we should contact bioware and make sure to inform them to just add all the rogue skills, and why not, all the other skills to the wizard class for nwn2.
and just because you like a game doesn't mean you have to think everything about it was done correctly. That's why we change things; to fix them.
