I've been reading up on some of the new scripting commands that have been added in 1.67, and the SetName() command caught my attention. This is a command that can be used to change the name of any object except a PC in the game. This would beinteresting to use with the crafting system when custom objects are made (though maybe the devs have already thought of it).
For example, assuming a player can use Alchemist's fires to add fire elemental damage to a weapon (like I suggested back at the beginning of the thread), the crafting system could rename the object to reflect the new property. So a Crafted Steel Longsword that gets boosted with fire damage would then become a Crafted Flaming Steel Longsword, or maybe Flaming Crafted Steel Longsword might be easier to work with. Could do something similar with armor properties.
It could also be used if Faction specific properties get added to crafted items, for example a weapon crafter from Garagoth could make a Mystral Crafted Enhanced Dagger, an armorsmith from Neversummer City make an Alliance Crafted Imbued Large Shield, or a leatherworker from Melencia make a Forest Crafted Enchanted Hide.
