i found perhaps a nice solution ....
using fear immunity scrypt, after be feared a first time....i was leveling on undead spot and get feared by a mumy...but after a time, mumy reach me, fear down, and i don't make more saves....barb fear like same, just duration different... what about a stun immnunity after be stunned 1 time ???
also...even in team, i don't see many players using clarity to unstun a team mate...a no UMD item with clarity will help a lot...but even umd toons , don't use to clarity stunned mate...there is a lvl2 crafted rod with clarity...i use them in general...and i hotcase it, if i know there is a stunner in oponent team...
if you can implement the immunity to stun , after be stunned 1 time, make a no UMD item with clarity, team play have to compensate ....
and on last point i'm still asking me, why stun is the nerf priority...
once stun nerf, the only toon who will stay playable are the CoTs stunner, as those toons, have already high DC 62-65 and don't need to hide for touch, don't need to avoid spells, don't need to avoid barb roar, can tank any toon in melee, and kill you in 1-2 rounds...
even with the cleric/monk/fighter, your toon turn to [censored] if dispeled/mord, you need to recast divine might for have decents damages, and loose a round in it...that toon is weak..as have to be the stunner toons...
if you take all the stunners toons posible, there is an easy solution to counter them, only the CoT stunner have not really a good counter build...if a mage start to bigby, you go corner hide, and stun him. or ikd him/fist, and go hide ...with the unresistable divine damages + AB...
Start to think the way of nerfing wrath, because for 10 lvls investisment, +5 universal save+5 feats+ lay on hands+ smite evil + spot access , 5 AB ( or more) and Divines damages and +5 saves once wrathed, it's a lot ....
Wrath is a winning push button, like smite evil vs SL toons (i don't care what say mining about dying by a smiter...)
monk paly Cot is the ultimate killing war machine...well rounded toon well play, will harass any other direct oponent...and the kama version of that toon is worst than the stunner one...
If CoT was not enought Op, the tokens effects of NC, just make worst the problem...

after founding a solution for stun, it will reasonable to start think nerfing ( or equilibring) the tokens effects gives by factions jobs, and evidently a way to nerf a bit the Cots toons.
Here a fast list :
- CoT only posible with paly class in build toon (auto good for the CoT )* not restrictive to paly only
- Nerf the divine damages stacks (token + divine might+ wrath+ eventual weapon )= unrestisable OP damages
wrath damages not stackable with divine might for exemple ...
-Eyes token (AO+NC) not stackable with regular TS...

Lets stay on topic for nerfing stun - split other suggestions off to other threads (also I know I went off topic before, sorry).


The issue I have with stun isn't that put it with X and its OP - its that you are shut out of playing in a way that no other ability does for such a long time. Its why its frustrating to play against, but no better than, say, dev crit to play with.

I'd nerf those SL hiders that are a lot more a threat than stunner or cots. Any decent ab/ac build kills a cot in a few seconds, nobody can kill those clerics sd that fast.

add immunity scrypt after under effect...have to work like fear ...
it's a nice nerf...i start my post giving an idea , but the idea of my post is making the nerf, in order to nerfs ALL same type toons, not killing 90 % of stunners builds, and let alive the worst ones...i prefer to see stun disabled...Because in all of case, SL/MA Pure fighter apart, our Stunners are already weaker, compared toon to toon (no monks and race access particulary)....
after nerf (depending the way it go ) playing a stunner will a joke for us, and still playable in other place...not sure of the result in the balance...just a personal opinion.

to ogami... killing a CoT toon 1 vs1 , in 2 rounds (or 3 ), is really easy to write, but in reality not so easy in game...
SL hiders are the same as RK ones or TC ones...if it's about SD...

If we nerf stunners into uselessness, we've messed up. Saying "You can't do X because then Y will be way to weak" just means that maybe Y is too weak for another reason. Poor design shouldn't sit in front of imbalance to hide it.

The wiki description for Clarity states:
"This spell removes the effects of Sleep, Confusion, Stun, and Charm, and protects against all mind-affecting effects until it expires."
"Altered: Immunity to Mind Affecting Spells/Abilities removed now gives +3 to save vs. Mind Affects and Fear."

Bump the +3 up to +12 against stunning fist, make it un-dispellable, put it on a common lowbie drop, non-UMD item, and perhaps no major nerf would be needed. Good, experienced players would need to recognize when stunners were a threat and make sure they kept themselves and party members protected with clarity.

at the moment, clarity doesn't improve your save vs stunning fist at all. Stunning fist is not considered mind affecting.

Only decent nerf involves a wipe and a restriction on Improved Stunning Fist (maybe only allow 1-2).

Without a wipe, I suppose you could auto de-level all characters with ISF above the allowed threshold to level 20, give them back their XP, and let them build differently... certainly must be careful about exploits though, and it would be difficult to make some of the re-leveled characters work well.

Nope, because bioware in its infinite wisdom hardcoded it - which is why we need to do hacky things.
